I don't agree with you at all! Maybe, that's why your Signatures ''own''.

 

Font is simple and cool and it doesn't need any effect!

 

Yes, he could ''play'' with the render, but it's ok!

You could add some more things you know, like flowers, butterflies or something...Don't make a signature just with a BG and a render..
