lets put what I know aside, from the pictures I see you have C1 grade graphics on your client - what features of Unreal 5 are you using ?

unreal engine 5 is just a marketing word, you use not even a single one of unreal 5 properties, you just ported unreal engine 2 L2 assets in UE5 with the help of claude

You spent several paragraphs explaining how useful AI is today, something nobody here disputed, not that if anyone did would add value anyways. I'm using AI myself, extensively. I'm not arguing against progress, I'm questioning the long-term concentration of the infrastructure that makes that progress accessible. Your entire argument boils down to "AI is great today, just buy another subscription tomorrow." That's not an answer to concerns about future dependency, market concentration, or affordability. And there's something ironic about calling AI democratizing while casually suggesting everyone should just spend another $500 a month if they hit their limits. Technological progress and centralized control aren't mutually exclusive. That's the distinction you all keep missing. As for the European history lecture, I'm not sure what air conditioning has to do with semiconductor supply chains or market concentration that is driven by corporate greed and macropolitics.

You wrote an entire lecture on gross margins while completely missing my point. I never argued that inference has negative unit economics. We're talking about the future concentration of compute, infrastructure, and access to frontier intelligence, not Anthropic's profitability today. And since you're lecturing me on accounting, R&D isn't automatically CAPEX outside IT. Under US GAAP, it's generally expensed across industries. The point is simple: technological progress doesn't guarantee accessibility. The hardware, capital, and infrastructure required to remain competitive are increasingly concentrated in fewer hands. And forgive me for not blindly trusting a handful of corporations to keep frontier intelligence affordable once entire industries become dependent on them. You trust technological progress to preserve accessibility. I don't trust centralized corporate power to preserve it for us. That's our disagreement, not your accounting lesson, now fk off Im blocking you. I dont trust Musk either at all, he just plays the other side to pass the negative narrative to the masses so they are ready to adapt peacefully since they have been warned already.

Look, Mobius is a master of his craft, and he plays by the rules of his own universe. He has a "make it work" mentality, which I'm personally not a fan of, but let's give credit where it's due: he's proven its value through years of actual production work. His work may not be perfect, and his approach may not align with everyone's standards, but the man has practically carried the next generation of free L2J server development on his own shoulders. Like him or not, that's not something you can simply dismiss. And frankly, I can understand why he'd get defensive when someone challenges something he's spent years building. It's his creation, his life's work in many ways. That doesn't mean he's always right or that his attitude is beyond criticism, but there's a difference between criticizing someone's methods and dismissing the value of what they've built. You don't have to worship the man to acknowledge his contributions, just as you don't have to agree with him to respect his work. But regardless of personal disagreements, I believe we all owe him a basic level of respect as a person, especially considering everything he's contributed to this community.

Ask me if I give a fuck to debate anyone in here before baiting me into a stupid debate like yours. Anthropic and OpenAI have already tightened usage limits and increasingly differentiated access to their most capable models not once but multiple times, without prior notice. Enterprise-scale usage can cost vastly more (20x per token) than a flat-rate consumer subscription, while those subscriptions don't reflect the true cost of unrestricted compute costing these companies billions. Doesn't that tell you something? If not piss off and never quote me again.

Nice try, but you're still missing the bigger picture. Local models don't run on thin air. They depend on GPUs, VRAM, DRAM, and memory bandwidth. Have you looked at what's happening with DDR5, GDDR, HBM, and semiconductor supply? And there's another problem: hardware doesn't last forever. Even if your GPU survives another decade, its computational relevance won't. Models and hardware requirements will keep advancing while your existing equipment becomes increasingly outdated. Now imagine a future where the supply of competitive hardware is increasingly concentrated in the hands of corporations that can outbid everyone else, while frontier models are accessible primarily through their infrastructure. Sure, you might still run open-weight models locally. But by the time you can afford to run yesterday's frontier capabilities, tomorrow's centralized systems could be generations ahead. It's like trying to compete commercially with developers using Java while you're still writing assembly by hand. Both work, but one side has a massive productivity advantage. The issue isn't whether you'll still be able to run AI. It's whether you'll be able to afford the hardware and intelligence required to remain competitive. And unlike software, hardware physically ages, breaks, and eventually needs replacing. That's the kind of dependency I'm warning about, so stay humble and enjoy the ride.

You do understand that talking like this is pure form of conceit, prompts are now free but soon you won't be able to afford them, big corp is going to centralize it, keep prompting but keep it humble you never know how the situation affects you tomorrow.

don't be an ass you are a good guy, its good to respect other's people work and in my honest opinion Mobius is a pillar on L2J scene currently we should appreciate and respect his contribution and keep personal issues aside. I know you are a good guy as well and this troll cult really makes me skeptical.

Fermata - A Modern Lineage 2 Interlude Client
Don't take it too personally, players will prompt their way into a new client from the POV of a player, he has his own POV and also server admins their own. Server admins are known to not release their private sources and leak it, on contrast players happily do. There's no reason to have such fights we are just seeing a new era unfolding before us, everyone prompting big ideas and receiving big results you guys should not take this thing personally and waste your tokens on what you personally believe benefits you the most. We are currently buying bitcoin for 1$ with the frontier models available for us to use virtually free and have hate to each other.
