I appreciate your opinion and you are actually right but if anyone wants anything for Wow he will go to a specif wow forum, if anyone needs anything for lol he will go to a specific lol forum, you cant own everything, image you are goin to buy a new car and you want a toyota will you go to a second hand dealer or you will go first to the toyota store? Every single person here knows that mxc is still alive because of Lineage2 the activity on the topic proves it and every other topics are almost dead, Imagine how many clans will come here with new members new people, Ru,Br,LT,Pl they have a big community brother and i see it everyday they are searchin for a spot to stay there and mxc is the right place.

 

If you stick with L2 then make new things about it and remove all rest boards since they make the forum look dead and complicated (I know members who are bored of scrolling and reading until they find what they want).

Let me tell you one simple thing, go to search box and try to find something like a weapon for Interlude. You will notice that 95% of topics have links that are not working anymore or that don't work with IPB (still have the SMF structure). So even L2 is dead in this forum, except from help requests or copy paste threads from l2jbrasil. This forum needs a big cleanup, and a re-calculation of targets. If the target is L2 then make new things on it, and you'll attract the proper traffic.

Sometimes you will need to step backward to jump higher :) yea a big and nice cleanup must be the priority theres alot of dead links and trash tropics, Everything will be fine if maxtor decides to make a fresh and new step for this community anything can be achieved and i will be happy to see a new L2 Community with alot of people new and old :)

Theres a lot of people that already started to post new things (Shared and Guides)  since you mentioned about a change of the forum imagine what will be the next if you make it L2 Forum :)

It has already been tried, when the forum was much more active and failed hard. Why would anyone join a forum like Maxhackers when there are thousands like it around the web with PROFESSIONAL expertised staff?

 

 

It has nothing special to attract people. Maxcheaters succeeded during 06'-08' because it was not simply a cheating forum. It had a niche. It specialised at L2. However, L2 has died years now, taking mxc down with it.

When you speak about L2J, that's more ppl like Stefoulis(15 ?), Matim, Coyote, Sethek, thelasthero and others named who "made" L2J section I would like to see back rather than people you banned for, probably, good reasons (racism, insults, grief, etc).

 

As said someone, you focus on a single game, Lineage 2, and that game community has been divided as :

• one part moved to other games (and since MxC exists, there was plenty of new F2P or good games to play rather than L2)
• a second part became old and got eventually a wife and children and stopped playing, while new generation isn't specially interested by hardcore farming
• another part moved to L2 official servers, which is now a F2P ; for old chronicles lovers, they even made a simili-IL named "Classic".
• the last part is still here

If you want more people, it's simple : focus on more games, advertise, create tournaments/events.

Tournaments and events are nice ideas, Maxtor may put some real money prize for an event and make it more serious not just a lottery for vip rank lol.

If you really wanna change something do it, you are the administrator/owner of this forum you know whats the best. People cant be the same everyone has different opinion just trust your instinct and do whatever you want, i believe that focusing on a game like L2 will bring more users here from different countries.

The forum is dead because you have no actual developers anymore to share stuff. If the projects die then the forum dies.

This is the amount of your ex staff that were developers. They were people that had some knowledge on l2 dev and shared it in the forum.

People move on, they evolve. I'm sure if not all of the above, at least the 80% now have a career in development.

They won't waste their time with maxcheaters.

 

What you had going on here was a bunch of kids that wanted to learn how to program in order to make some easy cash from the servers.

Now that servers don't make much and those kids are industry professionals they will look for a job.

They won't waste their time.

 

You did the exact same thing. You had a cool platform that made money and with all the servers and the shit you tried to squeeze every little bit of cash that you could and waste it on yourself instead of investing and future proofing.

 

Now the forum is dead and you can't do shit about it because it was build, top down for a different purpose that is not valid anymore.

 

Maxtor just deal with it.

 

People with that mindset like you will keep the forum down and dead its simple, if you wanna get somethign up push and try to get better if you wanna remain the same just be silent, maxtor needs advice not to getin criticized, before you start the 190iq speach, read again my words.
