@L2RAPTOR I joined on your server to see what is so special there.. maybe I don't get it.. but 10 offline stores players.. 0 online.. discord total 3 members.. and free broken interface.

I hope you can give me some info about what happened to the players that was so satisfied of your server.
(And this have nothing to do with the project source/pack but with the way you was talking about that players are the ultimate judges)

This topic is gold.

First time i see in 12 year(s) Elfo self ban guy to write a Tryskell like comment just for the sake of a guy and pretty much all forum's developers versus a poor child.

Side quest: PHP vs Java

Pin it now before i lose my interest.

Title of topic is ACIS vs Lucera. wants opinion on which is better and why.

Does not say just from developers.

So I give my opinion as an ADMIN and player...Neither. I prefer L2jOrion pack and support.

My point is developers pick out details that do not impact Admins or players in any significant way, but in the "developers world" it is how they judge a pack. The most important opinions is that of Admins+players.. otherwise there would be no developers for L2.

Because a developer picks out useless lines of code from a pack, it does not make the pack "trash".

If it does not effect the experience or the game of the players then who cares? Only developers care about this.

If ACIS and Lucera were the last 2 packs on earth and I would have to pick which I prefer, then  I would say ACIS.

Only because I see the effort Tryskell makes to upgrade and improve ACIS.

That is what is not given enough consideration here - SUPPORT. You must consider support of the pack as well,  when considering a "best" pack.

This is why ACIS is better than Lucera .

And this is another reason why I think L2jOrion is superior to these other packs. Excellent support.

So, developers look at a pack from their perspective, how code is written, cleaning up useless code...i am sure some of this can effect server performance and is necessary.

Admins look at a pack from a different perspective, bugs, geo data, ease of edits/adding customs, cost, support

Players care very little about the pack. Players look at server for bugs, geo data, lag, bots, server concept.

Is it not funny that the only people responding to this topic are developers and me 😄 ... Not players.

But in the end,  the players are the ultimate judge.

LMAO

LMAO! I know you are fucking around making this post..but 400 euro?

I don't mind talking shit back and forth...

but when you say words and numbers some people do not understand you are joking.

I have not tested every l2j pack.. but L2jOrion is the best I have tested.

I have had this pack for many years, received many updates, and great support.

So yes, L2jOrion is the best frozen pack in "my world".

i had client (in fact he is staff here) who show me the transaction of 400euro for sources :) he was paid fully, i was not joking Mr.Admin.

Lastly, I did not create my server to make money. It is a hobby that I love. I accept donations, but don't need them. That is why I have donation items drop in game. It doesn't matter to me. i will continue to evolve, upgrade my server regardless of donation money.

Since this topic is suppose to be about ACIS vs Lucera  and not L2RAPTOR vs All MXC Devs😆 I will end with this. I would choose ACIS because of Tryskell's efforts and support. But still prefer L2jOrion over all others 😉

As I said, I appreciate your time and opinion

As i mentioned before i had hundreds clients over the last year and the majority act the same.

-I do not create my server for money

-I will continue develop my server even if nobody join

-I have experience as a player and i know what community need

-I was playing at <server> but it lack of <exquse> so i'll fill the gaps and community will move in to me

So i'll simply tell you that you sound like them.

In conclusion you judge servers files by what? throwing some custom content in? Open a low rate server x 1 and let few people join in.

Even in such old chronicle like interlude they will quit after 5 minute due to lack of quest(s), scripts and PvE.

L2J got the wrong way currently since my beloved Joey allow amateurs like Stalitsa to commit at the project and turn it into a custom trash by adding Scheme Buffers for 5 months that nobody can edit because it's a combination between dynamic elements in html and 1.250 extending each other files in script. Still i can appreciate the retail work they did over years as every of you should do. aCis, Frozen and any other emulator out there, they lift the heavy work for you so you can fetch some source and edit over years and call it "your project". Those are the true leaders of L2J community, the rest are just copy-cats who fetch and modify.

So yes Vilmis since you wrote to me i'll include you here, when a guy open a topic like this:

he must accept criticism from people who have actual experience in programming and no mislead by custom features. Interlude is a small and poor community driven by fail projects since L2J quit it early. aCis, Lucera, frozen (i guess?) and frozen with extra customs (Orion). All of them are unfinished projects with aCis taking the lead but not be the main preference due to lack of custom.

You know Vilmis why your beloved minion picked your project? Because he is lazy and probably poor to find a proper developer and add custom(s) in aCis. True aCis is in bad shape last time i checked with character stuck in water but at least he work on movement... i guess for 2.5 years but that doesn't matter at least he work. The best thing you can do in your project is to add more custom, fix the custom and fill gaps with badly written codes. Your change-log proves that.

TstF23n.png

So no 90% of  changelog saying "Fixed" and refer to re-organize import or fix custom content doesn't mean this is a good project especially when those custom are shared from MaxCheaters.

So L2-RAPTOR, no you're nothing special, you're just another guy with a PvP server. You want to advertise your project? Do it in your website once you're successful. Don't open a topic claiming it's a great project and then write "STFU" to everyone who come and say it's not especially when those people have a great experience and i'm not talking for Elfocrash he might be good in lecturing and have sufficient knowledge but he has the same toxicity attitude when you challenge him on a subject he used to work or working now. I speak for other people who wrote you a comment and your answer was "post proofs or STFU" including me that you wrote me "stop posting here". Consider if people like me stop "posting here" you won't have anyone answering in your HELP section. So give some respect to the remaining developers in this forum and instead of face their opinion embrace it, you might learn something even if our/their way is not the proper one, we/they motivate you to take a step back and think again.

You on the other hand look like a nuclear particle fusion that went completely wrong.

So stop hate on him, he is beautiful at least.

P.S. Vilmis please a tip when you want to limit a value stop using old like code such as:

if (speed > 1500)

{

   speed = 1500;

}

return speed;

use at least:

return Math.min(speed, 1500);

You drain his energy. How is he going to commit changes when you yell at him?

Boorinio is known in history for "alaksokolies" and Vilmis for posting changelog more sparsely than Tryskell.

No hate Tryskell, we love you. Even tho le croissants originate from Romania.

    • Hello guys want to sell adena in L2 Reborn Signature x1  Stock =14kk good price
    • Hi guys, I have the following problem, I want to set up two servers on the same dedicated server and I can't.   L2jacis 409 Linux Server. The first gameserver has the following configuration: # ================================================================ # Gameserver setting # ================================================================ # This is transmitted to the clients, so it has to be an IP or resolvable hostname. If this ip is resolvable by Login just leave * Hostname = 190.25.103.103 # Bind ip of the gameserver, use * to bind on all available IPs. GameserverHostname = * GameserverPort = 7777 # The Loginserver host and port. LoginHost = 127.0.0.1 LoginPort = 9014 # This is the server id that the gameserver will request. RequestServerID = 1 # If set to true, the login will give an other id to the server (if the requested id is already reserved). AcceptAlternateID = True UseBlowfishCipher = True # ================================================================ # Database informations # ================================================================ URL = jdbc:mariadb://localhost/server1 Login = server1 Password = server1 I configured the second gameserver like this:   # ================================================================ # Gameserver setting # ================================================================ # This is transmitted to the clients, so it has to be an IP or resolvable hostname. If this ip is resolvable by Login just leave * Hostname = 0.0.0.0 # Bind ip of the gameserver, use * to bind on all available IPs. GameserverHostname = * GameserverPort = 7788 # The Loginserver host and port. LoginHost = 127.0.0.1 LoginPort = 9014 # This is the server id that the gameserver will request. RequestServerID = 2 # If set to true, the login will give an other id to the server (if the requested id is already reserved). AcceptAlternateID = True UseBlowfishCipher = True # ================================================================ # Database informations # ================================================================ URL = jdbc:mariadb://localhost/server2 Login = server2 Password = server2 apart from having tested 0.0.0.0 on the second gameserver I also tried 127.0.0.1 In both cases I see the two servers in the login when I log in, but I try to enter the one with the lowest ping and it kicks me out. The other server always appears with ping 9999 and I try to enter but it doesn't do anything and it freezes the login so I have to log in again. The hexids are in their respective folders. For server 1, it has its hexid inside the gameserver config folder, and I checked that the hexid id is the same id, for example id 1 in the gameserver is also id1 for server 1, and hexid 2 has its hexid 2 for server 2. The server ports are open and listening when I turn on both gameservers. I really don't know what could be wrong. If you could give me some help I would appreciate it. Excuse my English.
