Hhh..OKE

4. My updater is faster than anything out because it uses LZMA/LZ4 for compression + hashing you can never beat that

Basic Features

  • Self update //Thats innovative! Oh, wait - it's there since 2001...
  • Client update //No shit! Any other cool features?
  • GoogleDrive sync (deprecated)
  • Private FTP / HTTP / SFTP //Oh damn...Even old updater works that way
  • Antivirus Friendly //REALLY? - Link
  • Push notifications Background Task //Good if Your updater is so fast, that players need to put it into background when waiting to get the update. I guess minimize is simply too hard to use.
  • WinXP Support //WOW, I thought this is a basic shit and its support is guaranteed? I guess not....
  • IngameUpdate* //Awesome! Disconnect players because update <3 #FuQLogic

Pro Features (Silently injects code on l2.exe after update+run) Unavailable

  • Server refuses logins from outdated clients //Thats good! Crit Check isn't enough, L2 has so much players that admins can block them because they have old armorgrp.dat
  • New Packets with unique opcodes support (Recieve / Send) //Sure it's "unique" - does it block players or DC them for update too?
  • 99% Unbypassable HWID system (detects hwid bypass, and reports back to the server) //99% Unbypassable - like everyone in L2!
  • VAC System (Flags a user if he uses 3rd party software, and reports back to the server) //Here You can actually block them!  Free tip!
  • All the new updates //More cool ideas? GREAT!

Pricing:

Basic  300$ - //WORTH IT!

Pro    500$ - //Does it make sandwiches?

TEST PATCH //I did some tests too, but I guess it's bullshit when I just type some random shity "results", right? No?

An  x64 bit version of the SteamLauncher is undergoing beta testing and offers crazy IO and hashing speeds.

The first benchmarks are very promising, tested on custom patch of at least 3GB+: (10GB Interlude Client)

Standard L2Updater

1st run: 8 minutes 38 seconds (Full Check)

2nd run: 6 minutes 47 seconds (Full Check)

32bit SteamLauncher

1st run: 8,7 Seconds

2nd run: 3.8 Seconds

64bit SteamLauncher

1st run: 2,7 Seconds

2nd run: 1.2 Seconds

Sidenote: The SteamLauncher ALWAYS forces "Full Check" on ALL the files, in contrast with the Standard updater that lets the user choose.

    • For the first time in thousands of posts I've read on this forum, I’ve actually found a message that is enriching on both a personal and professional level. I’ll take your advice to heart: I’m going to start creating more and stop overthinking things that get me nowhere. I totally agree about the toxic community; it's a shame. Time to keep working. Thanks a lot for your input.   Exactly, that’s why the Scryde method and their merge system work so well. People don't lose their progress and can still keep rushing new servers. Obviously, gameplay has mutated into something much faster-paced, but obviously, this happens in real life too, everyone is more accelerated and on edge. Thanks to social media and mental conditioning. But, well, it’s something we have to accept. Don't even get me started on gambling and online casinos; that’s a whole other topic regarding all the P2W servers.   Really, amen bro.
    • Hello, the server lifespan isn't something that only affects Argentina; just look at the South American and European communities. Those distant days you mentioned, when we were younger, which I completely agree with, are long gone. Today, the community plays RUSH for 30 or 60 days and seeks the adrenaline rush of starting over. As for free or paid packs, there are many options, but in all of them, you'll have to create your own unique style.
