  1. It couldn't affect anything pre H5 since the copyright did not belong to Innova or NcWest at the time and the licensing agreement is not retroactive. Only NcSoft themselves can sue you for pre H5 usage and that's only if you are providing a modified client.
  2. I was expecting this one for quite a while and NerdSlayer finally made a video about it. It mostly focuses on the vanilla paid version from back in the day, not private servers but I still find it interesting and it's worth a view.
  3. It is a free pack. 10 euros every year is not a paid pack. Technically it is but 10 euros a year is absolutely nothing. I don't think there is any hype. It's just the only viable option.
  4. Obviously people are going to praise the most complete free project. Saying something is shit implies that, on it's league/category, there is something comparable that's miles better. This isn't the case. aCis is the most complete free option for Interlude.
  5. Έπεσες με τα μούτρα μέσα
  6. Ο Kara κάνει 3D animate παρέα με δύο κβάντα. Μην του κολλάς πολύ.
  7. Completely offtopic but I think I figured out how Kara's brain works during arguments. It's the Five Stages of Kara 1. Starts a topic in which he might have a valid point 2. Get backlash and enters defense mode 3. Tries to find as much background info from the person replying to him. That includes but isn't limited to past posts, wts/wtb topics, ethnicity 4. Makes some offensive, racist, aggressive claim about the person using the information collected 5. Loses all his validity and everybody makes fun of him (The funny thing is that he will reply to my post in the same way. Just watch. The best thing he can do is ignore it but he can't. He will explode.)
  8. Working on a complete rewrite of the engine. Nothing in terms of AI has changed yet but now it fundamentally works in a different way. Instead of having a single repeatable task iterating over all the players on an interval each players has their own thinking "task". I use quotation marks because it's not really a task or a thread and it's not using the threadpool. With an iteration speed of 200 milliseconds the bots can now think 5 times a second individually giving a way more fluid and realistic action speed. In terms of performance, it has actually improved significantly. Here is an example with 1000 players fighting Valakas. I was barely getting one frame per second but the CPU load was averaging 2-4%. Once I benchmark how far it can scale without any performance hits and settle on how low I can go on the iteration interval I will start rewriting the way the bots think as well.
