  3. This commit introduces a Bash script to optimize MariaDB installations on Debian-based systems: Added MariaDB Management Script for Ubuntu:
  4. You do not provide enough information.
  5. You should be able to use any NPC as servitor though.
  6. You should not have an issue unless the L2J project is not optimized or has a memory leak and such.

  11. Nothing against it, but people should confidently share who they are. There's nothing to worry about, and we all know there's nobody new in this L2 servers business.
  12. Moved to proper section.
  13. When you ask for help and then find the fix, it's best to share it with others. It's a good practice that you would expect from others as well, wouldn't you agree?
  14. I don't think so. Add a few of them at a time to see which one is causing the issue.
  15. I've never been a fan of, and probably never will be, having animated NPCs. They tend to give the server a feeling of being x9999, regardless of the server's features. Interlude is a client that should ideally maintain simplicity.
  16. There are numerous small features that, while not necessarily time-consuming, can become as mundane as quests. Introducing something similar but more engaging, such as missions or achievements, provides players with ongoing activities, adding depth to the gameplay. By withholding some features initially and gradually introducing updates and changes, players remain engaged and interested over the long term, contributing to the server's longevity.
  17. Realistically speaking, it's not advisable to rely on any public project for a significant live project. In 2024, it's preferable to invest more and purchase server files that have been online for a substantial amount of time, ensuring stability and reliability from the start. Alternatively, you could consider collaborating with other server owners to invest in higher-quality files together.

  19. I continue to receive pms from individuals purchasing packs, which I then analyze. Among these, I've encountered instances of what is purported to be a "Lucera source," which is essentially an older version of aCis with the packages renamed to Lucera. Additionally, there are cases where individuals send me peculiar packs claiming to be aCis, and so on. This indicates a significant prevalence of scams in the market. People seem to prefer private conversations over public forums, which poses a risk, particularly for inexperienced server owners seeking a better l2j pack. @Tryskell, I've noticed some promising commits recently, although I'm not actively using it. Still, I'm keeping a close eye on it.
  20. It says L2Server_AdvExt64.exe This is most likely your error:
  21. It's all about finding the right balance between quality and time. If you're aiming to launch a project quickly, the files quality will definitely affect its future success. On the other hand, you can turn any project into a success if you're willing to put in the time. Server owners have to make this choice. If you're ready to invest more money, it might make more sense to buy files from a reputable, stable server. This can save you time on fixing problems later. L2JMobius has its issues and other factors to consider, but it's a good deal for what you pay. But blaming just the admins or the players isn't cool. Both sides contribute to the problem in their own ways.
