Can you check your local files please? You can create a shortcut to your L2.exe with the parameter -L2ProtocolVersion Path: "..../..../..../system/l2.exe" -L2ProtocolVersion Double clicking the shortcut should show you your local client revision number. :)

have a look into perferences there has to be a special rule for deap blue monsters and level difference. i'm now not sure if its for drop distribution only or also affects exp calculation and distribution.

you get exp depending on your lvl. if ylo are too high or too low you will only get a small %age of the exp. or was this changed?

He wants to kill one Minster and another NPC should disappear. Like the Deletion of Raid Fighters. If Raidboss dies, Spawns go *pooof*.

Are there no similar quests where you can look it up? I think there was a quest where you have to bring one SOE to a specific NPC. After you did that he disappeared. And respawned later on. Quest was somewhere between Dwarf start area and schuttgart

Hey hey :) Since it's not that easy to find retail aion clients, but private server clients, how do I see what actual client version they have? Retail Clients had an .ini File which had information about the clientversion like "2.7.0.15". Private Servers removed unused files and since this file was useless they removed it sometimes aswell. Is there another way to see the client version?

Look in the redme files of mobius. he has download links for the clients fitting his l2j revisions. they should be still working.

Which chronicle are you interested in? I would recommend H5 since this is a good client to start with.

You won't get any real sources of scripts...at least nothing new. Also you shouldn't pay for serverpacks. If you want to pay devs, pay them for their services and not for shitty server files everybody can copy paste. And well... Scripts is not better than everything else. Also don't use L2OFF Server Files. Nobody needs that trash - not to mention that using them is extremely illegal! For the beginning - well it depends on the server type you want - you can use some pre-compiled packs of your choice to get started / to get famillar with l2j servers. For retail like Interlude you can use Acis or Mobius, if you wan't some already built in customs. Try to figure out how to setup the server first, by browsing every single setting file first. Then you should learn how to use gm commands and //admin menu. After that you can check out this forum and start looking for tutorials on how to create new NPCs (Shops, Monsters, simple Buffers, Teleporters) and Items including some simple Client modding knowledge (editing ini and dat files). Then you can start creating concept and content for your server. At this point you can decide whether you want to get familiar with editing server sources. And once again I would recommend mobius sources. You wont get any better files to begin with and mobius has really good content implemented already - a good source to start with! Spending Time, Effort and IQ in your server will eventually result in a good pack to go with! :) REMEMBER: Don't buy any server packs! Pay devs for their services only! (eg. implementing/ fixing code you can't add/fix by yourself, writing scripts/realizing your ideas). And don't forget about the most important part: Stay active in forums and try to help/share in order to keep this community alive and productive! :) ///EDIT: Ahh! And one other thing! Don't fall for guys that are trying to "balance" your servers Skills and PvP system. That are just whiny boys that do not understand the principle of rock, paper, scissors. :'D

Yes, that's retarded NCsoft crapping the game. This is a box, which normally contains another small area (instances, rooms, boss areas, quest stuff, video sequence stuff.... and so on... You can add such boxes using Unreal Editor. The first time I saw it was on Fafurion Client (1st release). I thought they fixed it in later versions, but now I know I was wrong.... Good Job, NC! It normally should be flagged as invisible, or be placed under the map, where players can not see it. But hey... degenerated NCsoft doesn't care about the L2-World and it's exploration aspect anyway.....so they do shit like this in live releases. You can use a modded camera to swing through walls, if you want to see what's inside, or you can start dev-mode. get with "open 22_23" into that particular map, then using "camerawalking mode=on" and "ghost" to fly around and through walls with WASD or ARROW KEYS. Have fun! ;) PS: NCsoft became a real piece of shit - real NCsoft - not NCwest. NCwest was degenerated right when it was formed...
