  1. By 1 TB I hope you mean uplink traffic, otherwise anyone can shove down traffic your way and exceed the limit on a 0 player (or even offline) server. The truth is, it depends on too many things to calculate even remotely correct values for traffic / player / month. Here's a few things it depends on: 1. How badly your pack is coded (this includes L2OFF packs too, as a matter of fact) 2. Whether the server promotes clustered or solo (read: retail) gameplay 3. How many spawns you have and where they are 4. How many players are idle (e.g. private stores, afk, etc.) and how many are actively engaged in player-to-player interactions (this would include party XPing) 5. How is the solo XPing organized Obviously, in a x1 (that's a joke, since there's no "real" x1 server for countless years now, including NA/KR/others) server, the traffic for the same amount of players will be drastically lower than in a single-town, perpetual pvp (or event) server. We are talking about orders of magnitude here.
  2. Window -> Show View -> Package Explorer If it is not listed, then choose Other… and find it in the view tree.
  3. Sorry, but ExOlympiadUserInfo hasn't changed since it's original inception in C4 - same old in IL, HF, etc. <packet id="SM_EX_OLYMPIAD_USER_INFO"> <byte alias="Side" type="OlympiadSide" /> <dword alias="Player OID" type="ObjectID" /> <string alias="Name" /> <dword alias="Class" type="CharacterClass" /> <dword alias="Current HP" /> <!-- real --> <dword alias="Maximum HP" /> <!-- real --> <dword alias="Current CP" /> <dword alias="Maximum CP" /> </packet>FE:29:00 is the correct opcode for IL. So writeImpl() is correct and there's really not much else to be said about the code you pasted. I'd suggest checking if these packets are actually sent (and if so, with what data).
  4. Then the whole 'leveling' thing has no place. It would simply function as a generic adena sink, with higher level items costing more. After all, you sincerely don't believe a NPC would gain levels in alchemy? Seriously, you don't expect to Hellbound this simple alch profession?
  5. Has Anyone Really Been Far Even as Decided to Use Even Go Want to do Look More Like?
  6. Me neither, but it's not like there's an option for such things. Recipebook? Custom dialog windows? Because it would be 200 times worse in NPC/item/tutorial chat windows. Anyway, this was exactly my point when I said L2 was about combat and not skilling.
  7. For me personally, it would be C1… Or perhaps C3 with C1/C2 spawn areas (C2 to include Inna & ToI). Catas/Necros could use C3 spawns in this case. The complete spawn overhaul in C3 (carried over to C4) is cancer. Also, C3 already has subs, that's a big plus, but without all the cancerous features and class rebalancing changes introduced in C4. The only thing in such server that would need some tweaking is the sleep cast speed or land rate. Otherwise, it would be PERFECT. Plus, C3 client uses a better UI (than earlier clients: the blue one that carried over up to IL) and supports windowed mode out of the box. C3 already has the newbie support system (and SS on all items), so new players/alts have it much, much easier after the majority of players move out of the starter areas (compared to C1/C2).
  8. This code snippet is missing critical information about the usage context. However, as it is NOW (considering it is coded correctly), you can safely change all FastMaps (which are thread-unsafe as they are initialized here) to HashMaps. You will lose the gradual memory increase and insertion-order iterations provided by FastMap, though. EDIT: if the current implementation fits the usage context (which you have decided to hide), you have no use of CHM in this snippet.
  9. Yeah, I know, WoW and shit. My point (and rating) is still valid. Or do you want RuneScape with 30+ skills? There's a limit for everything, and L2 is designed for 'attacking', and definitely not skilling.
  10. I honestly don't see much difference between craft and alch. Different items produced and different levels required, so crafting (in general) is twice as long (and boring) to train/use. Rate 3/10
  11. Most likely you logged wrong account/server :D On a more serious note, there have been no wipes, nor any server merges. If you have verified your account and server info, I highly doubt support GMs (Tisephor & co.) can help you. E.g. they refused to explain/lift oly/coc ban on my main, stating that there will be no changes to my character in this regard. So you'd better hope you messed something up and logged to the wrong server…
  12. Only low leveled class changes are linked, others are only accessible via quest ask&reply.
  13. After collecting the evidence, it looks like it :D. Perhaps my thought process is now corrupted by knowing it, but it does seem like an option to try.
  14. Oh well, you have been away for a very long time. Unfortunately, the person was correct. class_preview_warrior001.htm class_preview_warsmith001.htm class_preview_wind_rider001.htm class_preview_wizard001.htmCoincidence? I don't think so. You could guess menace and storm_menace (as I did) from manus and storm manus (before NA localization). But Eviscerator was simply "Gravity Lenker". Not "Storm Lenker", regardless of how you would look at it.
  15. I meant that there are more traits (which do not exist in GF), the chance modifiers are applied differently and that there are certain additional limits imposed based on currently active effect counts. In other words, [de]buffs would work like on a l2j server: land rates would have zero connection with the chronicle that the client is made for. From what I understand, they leak off the NC distribution point (which distributes to all the licensees, as NCSoft itself only operates in Korea and Taiwan). Perhaps McBigmac could elaborate further. No worries. After being deployed in NA, the exalted quest chain (main IO selling point) was broken for a few months, with missing NPCs and the whole dimensional siege functionality. So it's not only private servers that fail to deliver in time. HF is 2011… There are rumors of a complete HF leak, so you'd be much better of making an extender from that. But then again, we have had nothing shared since GF. As if people use those serverpacks, then quit L2 and just delete them. Or perhaps the rumors are all wrong. But how could someone know the internal naming of all ertheia classes? How do you 'guess' that "Eviscerator" is actually "strato_lenker"? EDIT: Rumours say there is HF, GoD or GD, GDL(Lindvior) or GDS(Epeisodion) and Ertheia. There is a legit GD (not Lindvior) script pack currently on sale. But there's just .txts and .htms (and geo) – nothing even close to test/replicate GoD+ behavior (not to mention that there have been too many changes since GD for those files to have any value now).
  16. IMHO, using a 6+ year old serverpack to make an extender is just not worth it (esp. for newer clients). There are newer serverpacks, but they are neither available nor for sale (despite the fact that they are already horribly outdated as well: no Classic mode, for example). The main problem with future client support is that you can have ertheia, and you can even get the bonuses/base stats right (even for the new attrs), but all the skill landing rates will be just as wrong as in l2j. Because GF is really outdated in that sense. So it will be kind of like the C3 servers that used C1 as base: no manor, entirely wrong spawns and a different gameplay. You can add all the missing content, sure; but in the end such server will simply look like just another l2j. And extending GF just to use GF as a base for custom gameplay… Didn't anyone tell you that everybody left all GF servers when GE (and later Freya) arrived?* * - they all came back to GF a lot later due to reasons I cannot understand, but GF already was as dead as it can get.
  17. Have you looked at the provided npcdata? I think that clears up ALL the questions.
  18. Well, typically you would start by removing obsolete java installations. Java 6 and under is now deemed as critical security risk in both Oracle (incl. Open) and IBM JVMs (which together take up more than 90% of all JVM installations). If you have any project that uses java 6 or earlier, you should face the facts: it's not just dead. It's buried so deep down below, it would take a expert miner crew to recover anything useful out of it. With that out of the way, eclipse can run itself on a JRE, so you can technically skip path and other env. setup and use the same old Window->Preferences->Java->Installed JREs method. As long as you know how to get to that dialog, everything else is self-explanatory. As it always was. EDIT: Try has already specified the minimal Java version you will need. Just don't use Oracle/Open Java 7 JVM, it's a critical security risk. So if you want to stick with Oracle, you must go straight to Java 8. Which is a good choice in any case.
  19. This means that login server advertises "192.xxx.xx.xxx" inside ServerListPacket. Also, '192' is a suspicious first octet of an IPv4 address. If the advertised IP is actually "192.168.xx.xxx", then there is no way any players will connect. Unless that player is in a LAN with the same subnet mask and in their LAN they also have a server on "192.168.xx.xxx", then the Lineage II client will attempt to connect and negotiate with that server. In any case, your game server will never be involved. Moreover, ipconfig.xml content is missing in your post.
  20. You don't need a fix for Prelude BETA (336) to C5 last update (709), because there is no Themida/WinLicense. Just use the same dll relocation bat you used with Vista/7. Have you even read the thread?
  21. Typical cause is a wrong IP address advertised by the login server (in ServerListPacket). Make sure it is a valid address; otherwise make sure that you don't advertise an IP of different class than the one used to connect to the login server.
  22. Here's a mirror if all torrents are idle and you can't wait (usually it gets downloaded within a week, just wait for a proper peer to come online). Prelude BETA/336/Setup.exe Prelude/377/CD content (7z) Both are installers, so beware: they might only work properly at XP or earlier Windows.
  23. As I've explained, I have never had a personal account here before. So if there's someone similarly named, they would probably use their old account when coming back. My name mirrors my bitbucket username: https://bitbucket.org/_dev_/
