Request Acis or Frozen??
Mobius replied to wertynas's question in Request Server Development Help [L2J]
aCis misses both legs, an arm and half it's brain. Also eyes work perfect, but colorblind... Only hand has two fingers (who needs more?)... Let people decide which is the coolest frankenstein project. When people use aCis... wait... still unusable after twelve years?... When people used L2jFrozen... wait... they still do... -
Request Acis or Frozen??
Mobius replied to wertynas's question in Request Server Development Help [L2J]
Because anoficially I have continued L2jFrozen with this project. Everyone should use L2jMobius C6 instead of L2jFrozen for any kind of server. If you actually tried to read what I wrote, instead of flame, you would not need to ask. -
Request Acis or Frozen??
Mobius replied to wertynas's question in Request Server Development Help [L2J]
I make this post to clarify what is the current condition of my Interlude project. What is your Interlude files based on? Interlude was based on L2jFrozen latest free version. Do you use aCis scripts? I used most compatible aCis scripts, available at the time I started, since my version was adapted to use later L2j version scripts. What about python scripts? Python scripts are fully dropped. They are replaced by Java scripts. L2jMobius Interlude is the first project based on L2jServer, L2jFrozen and aCis to have all scripts in Java without missing anything. We have most scripts by aCis and java versions of all remaining L2jFrozen scripts that made it a complete Interlude project. Have you made any changes on your own, or this is just a combination of other projects? This is not just a combination of projects. There are hundreds of changes made to fix, clean, improve, update and add things. Do you update Interlude? As all projects, when something is done to other branches and can be beneficial, it is added to Interlude as well. I do not see any recent changes to Interlude. There is no need to change something that is not broken and works as intended. Should I use your Interlude or L2jServer? Definitely use L2jMobius Interlude. Should I use your Interlude or L2jFrozen? Definitely use L2jMobius Interlude. Should I use your Interlude or aCis? aCis is a very decent project, but I would definetly use L2jMobius Interlude (obviously). Conclusions L2jMobius Interlude is different from L2jServer, L2jFrozen and aCis. It is updated and updates are done in a need to be done basis. It is my effort to make a complete Interlude server. https://l2jmobius.org/forum/index.php?topic=3598 -

The correct way to redo Interlude, based on 110 protocol client for free. https://bitbucket.org/MobiusDev/l2j_mobius/src/master/L2J_Mobius_Classic_Interlude/ -

You better read better the agreement for getting access to my private sources. https://l2jmobius.org/forum/index.php?topic=3230 Also a few quotes from GPL mentioning about copyright on private projects. https://l2jmobius.org/license.php @Vision -

Another genius. Leak files when a free version is about to happen. Also not latest sources, I wont even bother the check what exact revision this is. Kinda pointless because the new free version is based on later files than this for sure. Random leaked revisions may be broken due to extensive reworks I did. And the last three months I did, A LOT! And still do! Stick with the official L2jMobius releases. https://bitbucket.org/MobiusDev/l2j_mobius/src/master/ -

Genius. Leak files when a free version is about to happen next month. Do not use this, it is incomplete, as movement was reworked at that time. Stick with the official L2jMobius releases. https://bitbucket.org/MobiusDev/l2j_mobius/src/master/ -

Discussion Who l2j is better?
Mobius replied to Machimbre's topic in Server Development Discussion [L2J]
Some of us do not have the luxury to chill while Frintezza does not work, when Innova has a new client every 4 months. So please do not spread inaccuracies for my project. As far as your project goes, you may develop tetris till the end of time. Peace... -
Discussion Who l2j is better?

I would thank all those before you that saved you the time. As much as you want to sell "your work", you will always be an L2jServer fork. Even the things you add, are just add-ons for the current L2j code you work around. Renaming and refactoring wont do anything, architecturally you still are L2j. Right down to your mmocore. Again, it is 2021 and you have not finished C6 scripts... Even if you have access to OFF files... So how is your project the best l2j? You obviously believe that, but atm, L2jFrozen is more complete than aCis. -

Mobius replied to Machimbre's topic in Server Development Discussion [L2J]
I have spawns by zones since 2014 ish. People rarely use it to share spawns, because they simply do not have access to leaked OFF files. Developing spawn monsters by zones could be "nice" to kill your time with. Once you make it, it would be there just to show off, god willingly with not making new issues. Like in my case, L2jUnity inherited, killing performance and breaking respawns when they get out of zone. I am not telling you make a bad job, but personally I would stick to add actually missing stuff that players see. When I finish visible things, then I focus on refurbishing old code. I only say that because missing Frintezza was mentioned above... on a C6 project... It is not like you have 300-400 scripted AIs... -
Request L2j c1/c2 source?
Mobius replied to Bankai's question in Request Server Development Help [L2J]
As with any project there is no guide on implementing missing things, and sadly most people that actually implement anything never share back. The five major missing features are. -Skills. -Clans. -Sieges. -Quests. -Geodata. It may be more easy to downgrade my C4 branch to C1. Then transfer the datapack info from C1 to that. -
Request L2j c1/c2 source?
Mobius replied to Bankai's question in Request Server Development Help [L2J]
As you mentioned back then nothing worked. Even with the best non l2j datapack that existed at that time. Luckily for you I have that datapack and also added some stuff like PvP / Karma from L2jFrozen. Also contains some form of water and breathing by region. L2j sources included. No compiled crap. https://bitbucket.org/MobiusDev/l2j_mobius/src/master/L2J_Mobius_C1_HarbingersOfWar/ Server includes "crazy" fix for multiple clients from the same PC. Client link in readme.txt -
Let's measure dick sizes, sure... Over 700 posts on L2jServer forum. 400 something when I was younger on Ragezone developing MuOnline and other stuff. Also was the first guy that shared working T4C and RF server files. Do you know what postpacific forums where? If you do, you have seen me there as well. Developing EDW atm, guess what, under another name again. You know me as Pandragon. And FYI post counts mean nothing. All the real work happens off the forums. Dick size matters tho.

Main reason is because helping on something was never mentioned on commits. That is why on 2014 Zoey made the "credits" rule to mention names on commits. https://www.l2jserver.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=30453#p182580 From 2015 till now I share work only as Mobius. L2jServer is "alive" by committing date changes on copyrights and doing desperate commits. L2jMobius counts over 9000 commits over multiple chronicles after forking L2jServer. Do the math. For whomever wants to read some facts, or even who I was on L2jServer be my guest. L2jMobius (the story)

I do not have anything against you either. As far as my project goes, I just continue to do what I did when I was on L2jServer. What makes people believe a dead project is better, than a project with active community that currently does up to 10 commits per day, is propaganda by people that think they know what they say about, not being in the inner loop of actual projects development, hopping it will somehow increase their value. The "up to 10 commits per day" mention should make you think...

I was actually the reason most HighFive bugs where ever fixed. By talking, on Skype at that time, with what you say now L2jUnity and even contributing fixes on my own. L2jMobius is my continuation of L2jServer since it's development died. Funny I still have Freya bugs, since I was part of L2jServer until it died with their Ertheia development. I have screenshots for everything I talk about on my forum. Some some magical reason every time I post proof in this forum, it magically gets deleted. L2jServer is based on rewritten code of other projects (people that have their own projects). There is no original code made from any L2jServer inner circle members. Unless it is a major rework that breaks everything and then advanced users try to fix it desperately. And I will tell what nobody dares to say. The team has changed so many times, it is not L2jServer any more. The people that remain there just happen to have the passwords for the forum and repository. Simple because all worthy people left that sinking boat and now only rats are left onboard. People on current L2jServer, give titles to one another (head core dev etc), instead of doing anything. They are more interested converting XML to JSON and dockerizing the project than actually fixing it. Current L2jServer is a fork of true L2jServer. My project is more or less the last true L2jServer there is. Toxic people always want to do their job for them. I am pretty clear on what I provide to my subscribers. Whomever is able to ream my forum announcements. For having communism and all... I do not get how Russian people do not understand how collaborating on a project works.
