It still looks like you're using different l2server/l2npc - I've extended some structures that are shared between these two so you need to use the very same dll with both

Also try it with my exes:

http://download.l2shrine.com/L2ServerMyExt64.exe

http://download.l2shrine.com/L2NPCMyExt64.exe

Use this DLL:

https://bitbucket.org/l2shrine/extender-public/raw/21ef97893c17dfe1d4a6c177bb9bd83dcd690f54/server/MyExt64.dll

If still crashing, then please:

1. delete all previous logs (whole log directory in both server and npc directory)

2. start l2server and wait until it loads/starts fully, start l2npc

3. make a screenshot of l2server already running and l2npc starting

4. send me screenshot and all logs (compress both log directories and both lin2error.txt files)

Thanks!

Verifify MyExt64.ini and change this value:

; Maximum index
MaxIndex = 10000

you have overcome max index, change it one value more high, maybe than you have npcdata with custom npcs.

Thanks again for this extender, it's great work.

Which system folder are you guys using to connect to the server?

I'm using windows 10, and a lot of the system folders I've found won't start. The others won't get me past login. The server, cached, hauthd and database is working fine. I can even see the hauthd server receives my login request. My l2server, cached and hauth are connected to each other, that much is certain. But when I click login, the game doesn't progress past "You are currently logging in. Please wait a moment".

I'm using 127.0.0.1 as my all my ips, except for the external one in the DB. I've tried swapping it out though, but to no avail.

My ports are open too, and when I try connecting through a browser (just to check if the signal goes through) hauthd reports "Connection refused: address is currently blacklisted (IP=127.0.0.1)". The black_ips.txt is empty though.

I'm suspecting the issue is my client. Any ideas?

Thanks!

EDIT: I used the system folder from Vector, and now I can get to the server selection screen with 9999 ping. Progress!! I'm so excited. This thread is pure gold.

EDIT2: I'm in. I'm goddamn in.

Hi eressea, thanks for this extender.

How would you know the correct order of the files?

Correct order is any order where base classes are before classes that extend them. For example default_npc must be before citizen and citizen must be before merchant.

If you're not sure how to do it, just keep the order that was in ai.obj

Is the extender apt to be used on a Live Epilogue server? Or Just for Final Grace?
Would this extender have the chance to use All-In-One Char Buffer with buffer time in .ini?
Once again Congratulations on the beautiful work. Testing with Epilogue Files

I'm aiming for full Epilogue support (see epilog-support branch)

All-in-one buffer isn't so hard to implement but it's not priority at the moment (on the other hand, you can fork it and write it and if it's well done, I'd be glad to merge it back to my repo)

    • I guess if you want to learn the whole process, your best bet is to start with a classic client (like salvation? also must be easy to modify so that you don't get stuck behind paywalls) and check how the network communication is implemented. L2jmobius has a lot of sources that use classic clients.

    • Guys, if you'd let me be the bearer of bad news, No amount of "break from server development" can justify your complete lack of idea how things work. If it was this easy, you should've been seeing 90% of the servers of the popular old versions, such as IL and HF, running on the newest client. For this task, you would need a lot of time - think at least 2 months, if you can code, have access to all the necessary tools for client development, and you have a relatively good idea of how server<->client communication works. f you don't, then you either find yourself a well-paying job and find someone who would do it for you or you put the idea aside (for no less than 1-2 years) and start reading and learning asap. Let me give you a little preview/breakdown of what some of the work includes. The work can be split into two parts - SERVER side and CLIENT side.  The server and the client communicate through packets. Each of these packets has a defined structure. Both, the server and the client MUST know this structure and MUST use the same structure, otherwise they won't be able to "understand" each other. - The server side predominantly includes the alteration of existing packet structure and the creation (from zero) of missing packets that the client requires. Then you also have to take these changes into account and alter the existing features of your server to match the changes. A good example for this is SKILL ENCHANTING. On older chronicles, the enchant level is determined by the LEVEL value of the skill and on the new clients, it has been taken out into a separate value. What this means is that you would have to figure out a way to adapt the old system to the new requirements. - Now that we mentioned the client, you would also need to edit a bunch of files, such as Interface, UTX, UNR, as well as DAT files, including those related to ITEMS, SKILLS, QUESTS, NPCS, and AUGMENTATION STATS and DESCRIPTIONS, etc. For some of those, you would also have to figure out how to check for missing entries and how to parse data from the older client to the new. The best example, again, would be the SKILLS. On the latest clients, the skill enchanting was limited to only +20. As such, even if there were some matching skills between the two different client versions, you would still need to add the missing 10 levels to +30. And once you complete all of that, you start testing and fixing bugs and sh1t. And once you have fixed all of that, you can start adding new features from the new client, because otherwise it would be one big mess and a waste of time and/or money.
