Nik Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 aCh5s xD Anyway, interlude needs rework 80% of the code. Same goes for IO/Helios/Whatevernextupdate. Well at least not as much as interlude.
AccessDenied Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Mobius you end up being ridiculous. You open 5000 projects, you gonna open frozen, acis in the future or what? Just focus on a god damn project and stop making new every 7 days.
AccessDenied Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 You want try where L2J itself failed, aka manage and keep multiple projects (chronicles) alive. The finality will be you wouldn't be able to fix properly every project, and so your time will be splitted over all those projects. Meaning not a single project will end. Thank you FOR GOD DAMN THANK YOU SO FUCKING MUCH. Finally someone said it.. IM OUT, this man won the internet for me. bb
Sdw Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 (edited) Rework are necessary. Except if you're happy with custom gameplay. Let's take skills for instance : Targeting of L2J is based on a single type, where retail has 3 (more if you count fanrange, affect range, affect limit etc), you'll never achieve the same Formulas are so fucked up ... Stats are fucked as well, critical for instance is not properly calculated on L2J If a skill have a single level, e.g 3, you need to create level 1 to 3 on L2J Same for effect, you can't attach any effect to a specific skill level I could go one for a while, better stop now, but you see the point Edited June 2, 2016 by Sdw
Gladicek Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 AI rework..... x) Anyway speaking about how selfish are people which don't share their private work is kinda funny. Most of retards would take your files and sell them. Like you can see clearly on this forum. Not talking even about leechers which are gonna remove you as author and take your work as their own.
SweeTs Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Anyway speaking about how selfish are people which don't share their private work is kinda funny. Most of retards would take your files and sell them. They will not. Since these files would be globally accessible. For example like frozen/l2jserver :P
Sdw Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 L2J Sunrise manage to sell a 2 years outdated L2J server without shame. So ...
SweeTs Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Haha, yeah.. But they at least added some customs and try to fix reported issues :D
Sdw Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 But see, people can start selling anything. Adding custom shit shared and fixing a typo in XML, you got yourself a sell and you won't help the main root to keep your business model.
Gladicek Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Haha, yeah.. But they at least added some customs and try to fix reported issues :D So people can sell your work just because they add some shared shits? :D
Tessa Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 ++ for the private development. There are too much wannabe "bugless packs" in the marketplace! ^^
Sdw Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Private shouldn't exist if people were not greedy. Since it's the majority, ...
Tryskell Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 (edited) Anyway speaking about how selfish are people which don't share their private work is kinda funny. Most of retards would take your files and sell them. Like you can see clearly on this forum. Not talking even about leechers which are gonna remove you as author and take your work as their own. I can't say you're wrong, I find aCis leaks every 5 revs, which is far to be a private project, my point is only to say "contribute and you get it". Fortunately ppl see I'm sill here, so they don't split between projects or are fooled. About author removal, an author can see if its his baby or not at first glance ;p. I personally drop author tags (even the few I added), as it's a community work. My name should be on 80% of sources, like the names of... 60+ aCis project contributors, and what ? 200+ L2J names ? I thank people on changesets, and so far I never commit a share directly (always a problem lol ; the perfect example is scripts, where I could commit... A single quest without having to fix it personally). About h5 I'm not a fan of higher chronicles, but some IC are porting aCis to higher chronicles for their personal usage (GF). I don't count to busy about porting to other chronicles for now, I got a lot more to do. @sdw, how did you rework "one skill object by skill level" on a elegant way ? I mean either you got 40k skills with personal infos, or (random guess) 4k skills backed by a lot of lists holding each skill level info. Edited June 2, 2016 by Tryskell
Sdw Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 (edited) StatsSet Edit : well it's really complicated to explain it has been reworked from scratch Edit2 : no one likes the new XML template Edited June 2, 2016 by Sdw
