The amount of community have it's own limitions, if amount of community increase the amount of shares will also increase.

Problem isn't shares but on what should forum focus.

People have the willing to build, just give them legit place where to.

I doubt you people don't know nowdays most people are actually playing League of Legends.

Community of LoL is hudge and increase daily.

I'm still on-mind that you shouldn't put Lineage 2 in garbage but also focus and re-place games by it's population would help to increase community since interest brings people here... nothing else.

Place game based on how played they are.

Same as developement.

I believe web development is more populated than Lineage 2 development.

And i suggest on focusing things that will bring people in forum but also don't abandon what already have build.

Football is bigger than L2.

 

Porn is bigger than L2.

 

 

Alot of stuff is bigger than l2 - but its NOT BIGGER than l2 in mxc and not what keeps the forum alive.

Trying to rank content based on what's globally popular is pointless when you have the history MXC does.

Then you again might as well make a new forum.

 

Stuff should be ranked based on what content we can provide to get people to spend time here - and their potential playerbase.

 

 

LoL is good option - but has zero development oppertunity.

And i think RIOT is doing a decent job at stopping exploiting by whatever ways possible no?

 

So the only content pull would be other players - which i'm sure there's official and other bigger forums that cover exclusively.

Youd need to find a way to get thousands of LoL players to visit MXC - for no other reason than MXC.

Got the magic formula for that?

Okay, since everyone is expressing their opinion I'll do it too.

 

First of all, I totally disagree when everyone says that Lineage II is dead. This is not true, just because you guys don't play it no more, it does not mean is dead. At one thing we should all agree, League of Legends is the most played game and for that it had to 'steal' their community from other games like L2/Wow/etc...Tho this, I don't think people at Maxcheaters should focus on LoL, because like McBigMac said, Riot is a company which blocks almost every attempt on cheating/exploiting their game and this ruins every forum that try to do it.

This forum is just an example.

Obviously, in the past MXC was mostly all about L2, but other sections were also pretty active. We even had WoW mods moderating/sharing/reporting on their section which was quite good.

I do respect Maxtor for a new attempt on attracting new people to the forum and to refresh the site with new content and fresh blood on the staff but I don't think this is the major problem. In the past we had core members of the forum which gave everything to the sake of it(Grisom/Coyote/ED/Erol/Chucky/Chandy/All those greeks who were mass banned by Maxtor and which I don't remember their names) and dayum those were fun times to spend here. Even Spam Section was one of the most used boards and where the community would spam it and make friends/know them better.

 

When you guys talk about lack of shares, what else can be shared? Almost everything got shared and probably is nothing more to be shared.

When you guys talk about lack of activity from members/moderators? Whose fault it is? I think everyone knows the answer and despite that we as community have grown (talking about age) and people started to work and get their Real Life issues to solve and of course that influence in their Virtual Life. Hopefully Maxtor, still got some people who really care about the website and are in the mood of helping restructure it.

 

With this, I don't mean to offend anyone because we have to be grown and understand Maxtor can't live only for the forum, tho Maxtor should delegate people to take really care of it (This happened in the past for those who can't remember it).

I know that I've applied for 1 Moderator rank, and I've helped the forum in the past (like many others), but I do feel there are way more capable than me to helping of rebuild the forum and I just want to give all the best wishes on doing it.

 

Also, would like to see some replies on my mini wall of text and what points you guys agree/disagree and damn... Let's fight for a better Maxcheaters!

I agree LoL doesn't have developement opportunity.

About how exploitable it is i doubt that there can be RP hack or something realistic released but already exists support programs.

Also i'm not talking only about LoL but if u need developement websites one is also legit.

I've suggested Maxtor before to make Board related with Web developement but advanced one.

Javascript/HTML/PHP/CSS etc etc....

 

I can't understand why this forum is continue to focus on Lineage II only and nothing else.

Marketplace is dying because miss of community (whatever it is).

 

And the question is still here... i don't give answers but opinion.

Focusing on LoL is pointless. LoL is about to reach its peak and then it will start its free fall like any other game. Few games survived, few games still attracts new users and keeps satisfied the old ones. Lineage is one of them as it comes to official servers but lineage isn't that much popular on private servers as the new clients are considered as crap by people who enjoyed playing a Freya or Epilogue server and trust me I'm one of them. Plus the 2 weeks server phenomeno that started the last two years just to gain some money via donations also killed private servers. LoL absorbed many L2 players but if you ask me, if some good Freya PvP or High Rate servers (easy to be played but not too hard to farm and such) were made, they'd have the required potential to attract many players, old and new. Some Freya servers were opened and gained population (compared to other servers) really fast but they were just some lol projects by people who were looking fora cheap way to make some money. MaxCheaters should destick from Interlude Clients & OFF Platforms and try (I believe) another project, based on L2j, probably on Freya Client, I know many people that would join such server and also you got some skilled L2j devs over here to support the project development and they are able to provide a decent balanced server.

I might be wrong but I think that one of the reasons that private L2 servers are dieing is because you need an higher amount of money in order to buy 3rd party software protection, DDoS protection and other things while the profit is getting lower.

The income of a server will be increased when the server is stable enough to hold and service a X amount of players. When a decent server can't even afford a DDoS Protection then it's called a lol server, made by kids who look how to make easy money. The latest Freya Servers were made like that. Now there ain't a decent Freya Server even unprotected only. You invest money on something in order to get a pay back for your effort later. Your donation income will be increased when you will invest money in order to gain 1) Stability 2) Community 3) Balance. A server that is well advertised and well covered as it comes to protections, Lame Guard, DDoS etc. will raise pretty fast, it will get a good reputation as it will be a quality server and also will be a worthwhile server to spend some of your free time and later donate to it. None is going to donate in a 2 weeks servers, ever, it would be a loss of money.

There is lol development ,on .lua files exaclty,like l2tower development.
