  2. You choose one and you participate to make it less crappy ? Sometimes I don't understand people. One thing which is sure, all private IL packs are pure crap, based on public releases / private leech with some fixes from others privates packs. Why to pay when you got the same for free. But if they exist, that means they got clients. The fact they're private mean you got NO CONTROL about content. When you can say a free project is crappy because you read their codes, a private you got no way to control quality until you eventually pay. And that's a very big issue, because privates mainly do money selling 3 "unique" functions, and all their codes is the same than an existing source. For the lambda client, it works ; they think devs are ubber pro etc, but when it comes the time to make updates, you got only your eyes to cry. So final answer, 2 choices : Choose your favorite pack according of : - existing stuff (community, actual content) - future possibilities (devs/community you think are the most competent, basically) Help it (report/fix errors) OR sit on your ass and wait without complains. Finally, another word : you say there are class balances issues, Lineage 2 isn't supposed to be balanced (did you simply read their forums), so lose ALL your hopes when you speak of fullbuff shit 80 hours with +50000 overenchanted stuff (NOT THE WAY TO PLAY L2 WHATEVER GREEKS THINK ; FORMULAS AREN'T MADE FOR THAT). See any video of Dvp powning lvl 70+ hitting for 5K+, not even fullbuffed, and tell me if it's supposed to be balanced.
  3. It is currently stupid. Added to all IL changes (Olympiads, Prismeval Island stuff and such) you have to remove, you have to fix all packets opcodes (400 packets) and added to that, L2J issues. About general issue about MMOs, you can say there is a general MMO crisis. Many MMOs go F2P. P2P model isn't viable anymore, asiatic games understand it years ago. As L2 gameplay is kinda unique compared to others game (PvP), and softwares such as L2J allow server owners to do whatever they want (only limited by imagination, which I must agree, many ppl on this forum lack), I don't think you will see L2 private servers die so fast. The best proof is there are many IL servers, when emulator itself sucks, and that chronicle is 5 years old. I agree too about the fact C4 isn't as loved as IL. Anyway, gl about your madness.
  4. You know as me problems I meet with IL. C4 is even worst, not in term of gameplay (well there are things to heavily correct) in terms of exploits. Added to that, you haven't enough skills to correct it, as you know, L2J projects are often a one man project, and ppl join after. If the central wheel is broken, don't expect the windmill to make flour. Finally, you need to rely on L2OFF C4 servers in order to correct it. IL OFF are already low, C4 is kinda inexistant. So resurrect but based on what ? Your own experience of C4 ? :P Nothing more to say, gl, and consider my words :P.

As I said higher, if you're not lazy and really spend time on it, you should consider use your time for another thing, or change your way of thought perhaps.   15. If you speak of Interlude, better shoot a bullet in your foot. It's faster reaction than waiting 4 months and see in final, it is hopeless (and result is you're the owner of a totally broken custom pack, so your work won't even be useful for community). People who read my timeline can judge about it. Hundreds corrected bugs, and thousands other to correct. Never ending story. About aCis, it is made for any population (PvP server will find formulas rework interesting, mid rate or low will find unique stuff and details you can only see on L2Off type servers, etc). Initial goal of my project is to be the mother project of any new IL source, and for so I don't impose any custom or any shit to anyone. You're free to add whatever you want. From the moment you're not totally dumb and can apply patches, there are even customs on forum section, reworked for aCis. When I'm opposed to add anything custom on mother pack, you're free to add and ask any shit you want on "custom asks" section. Peace.
  16. [fr]Y'a pas de quests/scripts en python sur aCis :P. Je déteste ce language en mousse. Pour ça que ça prend du temps le DP niveau quests, je (et les gens qui m'aident) corrige tout un par un. Btw, je sais pas si tu as vu, ces derniers temps Frozen est "légèrement" refroidi (c'est le cas de le dire, muhaha), 2 commits en 1 mois. Sur frozen, et si Scoria n'a pas changé ça (parce qu'entre nous, les gros changements viennent de Scoria, pas de Shyla/Nefer :P), toutes les quests avec des items sont exploitables (drop par terre en cours de dialogue, continue le dialogue comme si de rien n'était sans check).[/fr] And for others, go Google translate it :P. A l'époque il y a eu les skills, après les items, maintenant les quêtes. Ca suit un cheminement parfaitement logique. Maintenant dis la même chose de Frozen, j'attends de voir ça :P. Frozen n'a pas de "#" à ses scripts, mais vla la pelletée de bugs que ce pack traîne dans son sillage. Et oui, 30% *seulement* des scripts sont actuellement réécrits. Mais ils ont le mérite d'être autant retail que possible. Je peux te citer une dizaine de quêtes foireuses, une autre dizaine de quêtes purement customs, les AIs incomplètes (notamment Baium) et j'en passe.   22. If you want to learn java for l2j, you have to explore and see how are build files. Understand the structure of the software, the methods composing it, and you made 70% of the work. The 30% left are basically, programmation logic and java syntax. You can learn it everywhere, from any programmation book. For java syntax, well... If you're a little clever, you need only eclipse search tool and asking to yourself that mighty question : "where can I find an existing part of code to make my own code". That resolves 80% of issues.

There's no need for npcId check on onTalk and onAdvEvent, but there's (perhaps, not even sure, if all mobs got same behavior it's pointless) surely a check on npcId. I say that, I say nothing :P.
