  3. Hi, Does anyone happen to have the eventdata for the Gracia Final xmas event? Reading the messages when you open up the server, it seems that this event has its special "field", like the gate_event, but my eventdata doesnt have it. (Xmassantaevent or something like it and newyearevent) I don't really expect this event to work flawlessly as my researches showed that it's quite bugged on the Dr. Turkey Stage and I doubt anyone cared about it enough to fix it (at least publicly), and so you can't have santa delivering gifts at random. If no one has this, if anyone knew just the eventname and eventnpcname so that I could spawn the npcs in each city automatically would be awesome. In a worst case scenario situation, if anyone knew just the name of the npc that trades the items from this event (christmas shirts and weapon tickets) it'd be perfect. I've searched on npcdata/skilldata/itemdata and I could find every npc related to older events, items for every event, even the GF one, skills for every event, but not the npcs related to the GF event. I found the santa that gives you presents, but not the npc (Cat if I recall correctly, but probably a fat dwarf) that stayed in town and gave you shirts/enchanted weapons. (the cristmas_green_socks - aka red socks in-game, seem to be bugged, as they don't do anything when you open them, or my memory is betraying me and you trade them for something like shirts - can't be sure because that's the NPC that I can't find) The NPCs that I found trade trees for presents/agathion. No Shirts/Enchanted Weapons at all The file that I have seems to be from older versions of the event as it has the eventname and npcname as christmas only and it doesn't seem to be the GF version of it - I could be mistaken but can't be sure due to the events bugginess or most probably due to my badness (missing the 5 kinds of rudolph and etc) Thank you, any help would be greatly appreaciated - the npcname alone would be fantastic. edit: I may have found the npc, cat_of_xmas, gonna test when I'm home - still would love to know the eventname/npc to spawn it automatically. EDIT: I'm confused if the server has the files for the saving santa or raising rudolph event (http://legacy.lineage2.com/archive/2009/12/_rudolf_the_red.html) Prolly saving santa only as I can't find any indication of the other event. Sad, I loved raising rudolph as it didn't have the annoying savign santa part and had all cool rudolph buffs + presents=p edit3: Yes I found the npc, thats it! now if any1 knows the name of the event by any chance so that I dont have to summon stuff manually and the world is decorated properly!

  5. I have to agree. To think that when I used to farm, I hated it because it was all only to fund my main. Now I want to farm for "fun" - pretty fucked up, but I love this game's world.
  6. Hi, This got quite big, sorry. If anyone would mind sharing/discussing with me some ideas for my server, some general rules so I don't screw it up making the game too easy in the long run, but also modify some concepts that don't apply to me. I want to make it balanced, feeling "correct" to me. so its more of a moral input on how to balance my server, set the rules. For starters, I run my server (gf) for me only, and play the game alone with a party consisting of my tank and 8 bots. My plan is to play for years and years to come, so the server is x1, no vitality, and only modifyng stuff that is really annoying. A) Spirit Ore/Summon Crystals? I thought about modifying the scripts to remove the need of using such items OR, but I see that such items are a necessary money-sink for a long running server, or in 2-3 years I will have all the adena in the world. However, their weight is pretty annoying. I had years of having to restock characters in retail and I don't find that fun at all. Should I remove the items weight, so that I can stock a lot at once (and will suffer atm as I'm poor on my 60s and poor, but this is l2!), or modify the skills to use adena directly and no more restocking? B ) SoulShots? Make an NPC that sells all shots (I'm leveling a dwarf with me, so it wouldn't be cheating) or craft everything? Any ideas as how to distribute the shots to the characters that I want to - not having to trade 1 by 1? I wonder if one could make adena be used instead of soulshots too lol - if yes, I doubt it could be disabled/enabled on the char tho; C) Acquing Raid Boss Jewelry? Now this is a subject that I really don't know how to proceed. Some events give you boss jewelry at a horrible rate, but well, I will play for years to come, so I could acquire AQ/Zaken that way. Now, other RB jewelry can't be acquired this way. Should I lower the RB stats to try and fight them in some years? Edit Zakens/AQ/Baium/Orfen levels to match the end game? Make custom event drops on the scripts? Try to somehow find the korean events and set their drops to my events? I'd love any ideas on this one and how could I balance the npcs to be realistically killable but not retardedly easy as they drop quite a shitload of items. D) Gear and Songs/Dances These I plan on keeping as retail. Having to farm every recipe, material, craft. Same for the s/d on 2 minutes - I'm running scripts on l2walker so its the same as retail mana management. E) HellBound/Gracia - Elemental Stones I have no idea if these are working correctly in the MXC extender (if it had any bugs, and if so, if they were fixed). If they are fixed, do you think that teleporting to places in HB/Setting the stage to 13 at once would be ok? Maybe set the stage levels way lower and modify the script as to not lose any levels? Maybe having to play on each stage of HB for a month not having to do any of the crazy grindy "missions"? About elements, make every stone tradeable (fire-water-dark...), or whatever drops stays with me till I have enough of the element that I want? F) Events I'm running a modified npcdata done by me (will share when finished, not that I think anyone cares), as for my needs the eventdata files doesn't work well (items drop in sequence and etc). On my data, I have one npcdata for each event that I have the details/played on retail, and set drop rates as close as possible to what I remember (pretty good as I ran bots 24/7). Do you think that modifying our events, like the medal event, to add other items would be "cheating"? Making christmas_presents drop from mobs instead of santa deliverying the items (not sure if it works on the server) would be ok? Modifying whats inside the presents? If yes, what stuff could I add for example? G) Single Player When running my solo char, an archer, do you think it'd be ok to edit a pet (like a kookabura), to use the same buffs a prophet has at the same level? Whats the limit - every buff? Add s/d effects too? Prophecy? H) Last - Castle/Fort Siege/Clan Levels/Skills/Points Any ideas as how to make castle sieges any fun at all? Once I get a castle, I won't lose it. Edit on the tables every 2 weeks to lose castles? But what about the rep points? Clan levels, I see no point in farming it, so I could make my clan level 13 at once. Levels 9-10 have also retardedly annoying fabrics and all. Farm the needed clan rep for skills only? For the levels and no fabrics? How to obtain clan points? Add myself a fixed value every month? Get clan points only after I'm a hero (9k every month)? Modify some aspect of the game? If anyone has the patience to give me any input on these or has any other ideas, please tell me =p I want something balanced, fun, but not easy at all. For example, my tank has gate chant on a 1second cooldown, as I don't find teleporting chars 1 by 1 any fun or challenging at all and I didnt' do 2nd class change quests as I had done about 100 before lol.   9. Thank you xeL. This is the exact file that I have. I find the retail files so strange, a gremlin giving acquire_exp_rate=382.07. I wonder why they aren't x1? Are they x1 but the server.exe should have some setting for it to work x1? Some auto divider? On the files that I use the gremlin gives: acquire_exp_rate=29.39 which SEEMS correct, but I THOUGHT the perfect number was in the 30s - that's why I made this thread.

I'm finally beginning to mod it as I want, but I don't wanna waste time modding a file that's CLOSE to the default script, but not it. On another note, Is there any way to prevent a huge log file from happening? I've had 800mb of disk usage due to the log folder in the server folder (1kb files actually use 120kb due to the disk blocks). If not, I will prolly end up doing some symlinks. Thank you!
  11. In my opinion, a system that allows you to loot all items at once, aoe-looting, is cooler than auto loot or having to spam the loot key. I didn't ever see this implemented in L2 tho.
  12. I am terrible at L2off. The concept that I know some people used and isn't the most correct way would be to assign the loot to the last character to hit. Now, on how to do this - I don't know.
  13. Use an uncracked version of a compatible walker and add the .exe from towalker, this way you dont need to verify and it reads skills perfectly.l

  18. fuck damn it. modyfing the npc data isnt as easy as I thought. Every { seem to matter and all, I cant find a "box" to add the info and not screw everything up >.<. It loads with 93219319 errors and no npcs show up. I tried adding before the adena - fails. I tried adding before the end npc - fail. I m trying to figure out what each number means and how to best add stuff in the middle of em. I want to make different files because I m bad with the eventdata files (one npc data for each event) - things drop only in sequence and all, and I d like to have fixed %, not depending on server pop/kill speed and all that edit: {{{[coal];1;1;48.227};{[varnish];1;1;48.227};{[rp_short_spear];1;1;3.546}};9.1008}} These 3 items are related. This makes me thing only one of thsoe can drop at once or something like it. Whatever it is, it makes adding anything - while not breaking the file - freaking hard Anyone knows of some kind of software to add stuff to the npcdata not having to mess with the text directly w notepad++?

First number is quanity, second is? Third is the chance. Are they mutually exclusive, so only one item can drop at once? 3 .ex_item_drop_list={{{{[herb_of_hp_a];1;1;20}; The ex_item_drop_list refers to herbs only, that they have added for easier control? So the drops are nto mutually exclusive, the % chances of one item dropping doesnt affect the chance of others. The first number refers to the quanity, the second number refers to? The third number is the drop rate. 4. additional_make_multi_list={{{{[adena];4098;8367;100}};70} Can anyone explain what the ;100 refers too? 4098-8367 is the quanity, and 70% is the chance of it dropping, 100 would be the chance of that value happening? Seems illogical. This one isnt mutually exclusive. Does the chance of one item dropping lower the chance of another? I think that if I wanted to modify a table, this should be the chosen one. Thank you.
