I'd recommend you l2dex - 5x. Its not hard to exp there , harder is to farm there :P x1 spoil/drop mats amount. Very nice protection against walker, so don't even think about botting there. Theres around ~2k players playing there, and its a fresh server.

Hm its because you're using java update 10 beta, I had once that problem, but that didn't affect anything at all, you can use java update 6(that's what i'm using) no problems with that.

I do play when I'm on work(crappy pc, boring job indeed), I liked the idea about a tournament, Dunno why, I'm using conquerors expansion, but I'm afraid that its fake tho. About favorite civilizations (I know that it wasn't requested but ... :P) I'm likely defense/farm mode, I usually play as Chinese(farmer a lot, cheap tech, that possibilities you do feudal rush), Huns(no houses, and stronger cavalry) and Byzantines (almost all tech, and bonus for buildings).
