I’m writing on behalf of my client, the legal owner of the logo you previously used in your Facebook ads without authorization.

The use of this trademarked logo without permission constitutes a clear infringement of intellectual property rights and may mislead viewers into believing there is an affiliation or endorsement by our client, which there is not.

Although the ads have since been removed, please be advised that any future unauthorized use of this logo or related materials will result in an immediate formal intellectual property complaint to Facebook and potential legal action, without further notice.

As a gesture of goodwill:
If you need a custom logo for your own brand, we encourage you to contact @DenArt Designs at www.denart-designs.com. You’ll get a professionally designed logo tailored to your needs, no need to steal someone elses work.

Thank you for your understanding.

Just to clarify, the logo in question was purchased by me and my former partner as part of our collaboration on the project.

I have the original PSD source file, and this gives me the legal right to use the logo.

It is quite ironic to see threats of intellectual property infringement regarding a logo designed specifically for a private Lineage 2 server, considering that private servers, by their very nature, constitute unauthorized use of NCSoft’s copyrighted material.

To clarify the legal reality:

  • The Lineage 2 name, client, server files, and all related visual elements are protected intellectual property of NCSoft.

  • No private server operates under legal license or authorization from NCSoft.

  • Therefore, any assertion of copyright ownership over a logo created for a project that is itself a copyright infringement is fundamentally invalid.

As for the logo in question:

  • Unless the logo has been officially registered with the appropriate intellectual property office.

  • Unless it is being used commercially or by a registered business entity.

then claims of copyright violation are legally unsupported and unenforceable.

Furthermore, the suggestion that a designer working on an unauthorized or illegal project "such as a private server" retains enforceable rights over that design demonstrates a clear misunderstanding of how intellectual property law works.

In any case, the logo in question, if it was ever used, has already been removed. However, issuing legal threats over assets tied to a fundamentally infringing project is not only baseless, but also absurd.

No further communication will be entertained unless the following can be provided:

  • Verified copyright registration documents. 😛

  • Evidence that the logo does not include or derive from NCSoft’s protected IP, and 😄

  • Proof that it is being used in a legal and officially authorized context. 😉

to sum this up, this is not server, this is a logo by designer that have rights, and yes you can act against such things, ncsoft wont run behind players it is totally not worth and i dont know really as to why they wont, but they can, and people definetly can specially to platforms such as facebook not here.
- it has nothing to do with the lineage its a logo (even if the logo is related l2), i dont copy chatgpt answers and wont answer to any of chatgpt possible claims and logic.

If you genuinely fail to understand the points made, then unfortunately I cannot explain them any simpler, even my 10 year old son could grasp what was clearly stated.

This is not about ChatGPT logic. It's basic intellectual property reality.

You claim this is “just a logo” and “has nothing to do with Lineage 2,” while at the same time admitting it’s related to L2. You can't have it both ways.

Let’s be clear once again:

  • The logo was made for a Lineage 2 private server.
  • That means the base project is already unauthorized and infringing.
  • You cannot create a logo for an infringing project and then claim enforceable legal rights over it, especially not in a commercial context or when no copyright registration exists.

Yes, platforms like Facebook may act on DMCA style reports without verifying legal depth. But that doesn't magically make the claim legally valid.

If you're upset that your logo was used without credit or permission, say so plainly. That’s understandable. But don’t turn it into a pseudo legal threat over a project that itself can't legally exist in the first place.

If the project (like a Lineage 2 private server) is already illegal or unauthorized... we know

So, this is about a logo for a project that will be used for a Lineage 2 private server, but the logo itself has nothing to do with the game. This isnt a case of using copyrighted material from the game the designer is creating their own original work.

see? lets agree to dissagree, there is no point to argue against chatgpt answers, there is a fine line between work made and used on a website and other parts of the internet against your claims of illegality
