Discussion Lineage 2 Remastered

Is Lineage 2 really getting remastered with the use of unreal engine 4? What's your opinion on this?

Those could be rumors. If the job opening is real, I just hope that remake won't take forever and we'll see an official announcement and/or preview soon.

Yeah, I saw this quite a lot too. I doubt it's a rumor. 

 

That being said, I wonder how this will be implemented in practice. Do core game mechanics remain the same and it's simply a graphics overhaul? Or is it more like a Lineage 2.5? 

 

Retail servers remain the same and simply upgrade to Remastered or do they launch an entirely different platform? 

 

Apparently they did something similar to Blade&Soul. Does anyone know how that went down? Maybe we can get a hint from that.

Thats good for us, they will be less inclined to go after people that modify the legacy client.
