Actually it's his drop. Only Dark Lord will drop items , the other mobs are just spawining where Dark Lord's HP is reduced to 50%. 

And the drop will be a very good amount of Etnia Coins (farmable easy enough) , Etnia Medals (farmable harder) , maybe boss jewel  , blessed scroll/s (enchant 16-21) and LaG tokens.

You can enxchange LaG tokens in Giran at LaG manager to take some random rewards:

Something new : 

Drops are related to player's recs , for example a player with 150 recs will get more drops than a player with 0 recs or 50 recs.
