So use only if(players.size() < 2) ------------- You don't have to make any costly operations on "_players" (except the olympiad check to remove ppl). You can simply pick the players as : _player1 = _players.get(rnd1); _player2 = _players.get(rnd2); Create 2 L2PcInstance variables on RandomFight (same level than _players) to store players. The idea is to .clear() "_players" once the 2 players are taken, and set both players vars to null once the fight is over (tie/win/lose).

There are multiple example of delayed actions, check ThreadPoolManager lines. The time is in milliseconds.
