  1. That's not quite right, there're tons of options that they provide to keep the license flexible as possible for example DNS binds at no extra cost as far as I remember. Beyond that, its done to discourage people to share or resale it, also done to identify leaks etc. because its a java project, there's no way to establish any online license service to regulate server packs licenses like its done with guard project for instance. If a person doesn't want to be attached to those restrictions, he will just pay more. There's a slight difference between paying 300 bucks and assuming rights on the IP and actually buying the IP. Therefore in our section which some people may assume the first, precautions are needed. For some people developing l2 content and selling it is a job that they do daily, therefore its not a rip-off, its business risk management. Hope I could present it from another angle for you in the most adequate way.
  2. You go and find mobs basic stats (except what's sniffable) with skills already enabled....:)
  3. There're a lot of limitations in Classic chronicle that so hard to obtain, one of the limitation is the mob stats. There's no prior information to rely on, therefore every server will conduct its own custom balance. In anyway, like was said, a pack without support or further development isn't a pack. Its a project and never going to be a finalized product. No game is bug free.
  4. Hello, we have it, PM in skype for offers.
  5. But Kara, Most people are failing their projects. Trust me I see real l2 statistics of more than 600 servers in 3 years. If you count fails vs success - fails are going to be ALWAYS higher than success. You're from Greece, open up your country start-up statistics, you'll see more companies are getting closed than ones opened. Why? Because most people want to try to get their own business and most of them fail, and it doesn't matter what budget they got or what material, idea etc. Success is measured a lot more than a piece of code.
  6. Point out who's actively and publicly developing & selling Classic java packs? If I'm wrong I'll apologize for misinformation.
  7. I will do whatever I want to do, you don't want to read what I'm saying because I'm right? What's the point of forum communication, this isn't your podium which you can say what you want without getting a response. You go open ur own forum and spill crap on anybody you want. While you're here and you're saying total bullshit, I'll be there to prevent you misinform other people. Shame on you.
  8. In fact your breath is less smelly than your words and I bet its not the nicest smell. Why am I so rude to you? Because even though I'm not affiliated with l2-scripts, I do see their work on the packs, idk what trash are you talking about, the packs are written by a professional java developer, and yes, I do agree nothing is perfect rather than PTS which is also requires a lot of work, nothing java wise is going to be perfect or not requiring some sort of work, effort and development. Now for kara and the other guy who said - OMG I have to pay for support cry cry cry, yes, you have to pay for support or pay your developer or don't pay - just develop it yourself, I see no reason of selling anything that requires actual amount of DAILY work for anything less than 15k bucks. Some of you want free stuff, invest 50 euro get in return 5000 euro, you are full of sh*t let me tell you. And YES for the love of God, everything is based on l2jserver, all java packs, no matter how they've been refactored were once l2jserver, then there was a hard fork to rebelion in about 2004, which is used by most server including averia, phoenix, l2s, fandc etc. and there's the old' l2jserver which is acis, frozen etc. work on. No dev is capable of doing ANYTHING from scratch in l2 by himself, so cut the bull, everything is using something as base and trying to make the best of it. Kara, we do encounter here and there on various of topics, I do get you, you're a young dev, trying to get publicity by answering topics, my advice to you, stay out of spilling dirt on other developers, this is not the way you do it and I've seen a lot of talented and not quite talented devs trying to spill dirt on somebody else and then go out of business, people do not appreciate that kind of business. Do it right, provide better service and be the top of the top of service providers, no matter what you do.
  9. The only public team to sale it is going to be l2s team. If you're looking into non-java projects pm me I'll try to help you out.
  10. GF is shared, its going to be as good as you buy it anywhere.
  11. @gvb can you describe what have you done with your geo engine? I'm solid you will find enough customers if you were telling what exactly did you do. I'd find you a customer or two if you were giving more information about your product. Thanks.
  12. Depends on gvb's price, it may be better, but definately not offlike, I wish there was something offlike & ready to be sold, I'd buy it. If its 30 300 or event 500 bucks, skip it, its not that good, or will be shared soon. easy logic. good stuff don't come cheap.
  13. Depends on your goals, if you want to actually do money, you need atleast 1k$ for starters and prepare to invest the first year more, so first year to be break even - meaning no money back. If you actually have money and you don't want to have the time wasted for you, then you need minimum 15k$ ready to invest. Break down is simple: Files - java or pts (private stuff not something that you can buy) will get u to 3-12k$ ; website etc. up to 1k ; ads - atleast 2k to get the best spots + bribe the clans. There's no guarantee that you success in anyway, its all up to your talent of persuading people to play, having the best files and ability to develop and evolve, there's tons of servers that can provide it anyway, so for those who think you can just open a server for 320 euro and do kk$ - no, its not that kind of business. I didn't even start talking about donation, cause money earned isn't the money you will actually get.
  14. Correct, but with that amount of money you will earn around the same amount. Business is never linear with what you invest and gain/lose and l2 is not a fast cash out anymore.
  15. Unfortunately for you, Acis geo is the best you find for IL (or most any other packs that decided to rip it off). Any other geo engine will cost you thousands of USD, unless, ofcourse, you're being scammed.
  16. The buy wants to buy regardless if its shared or not. Just notify him its shared and make ur quote...what's the point of saying - you could do it yourself. If he wanted - he would, I'm sure.
  17. Still, 320 eur for ready server is nonsense. L2 was never a cheap business, whoever gets everything for 320 euro will get a result that will barely cover his 320 euro..
  18. Then he can buy him a good dinner at a nice restaurant , not a business. Fun stuff, people's ignorance is amusing.
  19. Who said its not possible? Its possible, but not for 200$ or 2000$ and not even 20k is enough for the request. I mean, there're java's but surely not for 200 bucks. Funny stuff.
  20. Its clearly you overestimate your knowledge in the area. L2 isn't just located in 1 single euro or russian spot, its a global game with players from almost everywhere. I didn't say a lot of server may achieve that number, no, but, a small amount of private servers may and still achieving this number for a brief period.
  21. why bother? you can also ask xdem to do it, or buy any of the protections for a similar price.
  22. Again, there is servers with 5k online. If you can't do a server with 5k online, that doesn't mean nobody can.
  23. Online doesn't bring money. Seen 5k online with 1k in project profits and on contra seen 500 players projects with 20k project profits a month for 6+ months. A good file base won't bring you players if you have no advertisement but with proper advertisement a good file base is the actual reason of people earning 6 digits. Having a shit load of players on a crap pack will magnet the school audience who have exactly 10$ to spend and then cry about bugs etc. on contra even 500 players online on certain projects with certain audience may bring 1k+ in profits from a single player and there's enough of such players. A good community or name on it with proper support (not hit & run sale) will transfer the ability of the new owner to maintain the server as with limited loss, having good file base will prevent a lot of problems coming up with administrative changes, for instance retail servers can switch admins anytime they'd like cause its retail. Crazy custom server - can't, because there's a lot of dependency on the original admin around. Why people may consider to sell a working title? Because if a buyer is serious the total income maybe less than annual revenue, but some people want to move forward to other fields. I hear about it a lot. p.s. average top tier admin age is 35, do you really think all people at 35 want to deal with l2? think about it.
  24. Because some servers get in return 500k$+
