If you (or anyone else for that matter) decides to quit after a week it is none of my business, and that doesn't make the server be a "1 week server".

People are fast quitters, most just jump from server to server whenever a new one opens, i've seen it myself from people who were streaming my server, they jumped from server to server every day after leaving l2ovc.
Most people just leave because x left, and x leaves because y left and so on, the ultimate domino effect - point is that most quitters have nothing against the server, so I don't have much to do in that matter.

 

And don't get me wrong, this is not only in l2ovc, it happens everywhere even with big servers, I can send you in a PM the ultimate example of a ~3k players server that opened with me and closed before me this season.
Any other server admin that will open and thinks he will never wipe and that he will have the ultimate server will end up dead wrong once he opens.

 

Its so easy to blame the community but really what do u expect when 95% of the servers in the last 3 years are GARBAGE?

People supported more than enough the servers back in 2010-2012.Every idiot wanted a cashgrab server.The community was flooded with cashgrab servers aparted by trash packs.Most of the servers were using shared files.

 

What did u expect as an admin/l2 developer (or w/e u want to call urself)?

Forums,like this one,should supported skilled and innovative developers.Guess what would happen if the advertised servers will be 1/2 of the current ones or even 1/4.

Dont blame the community for jumping from server to server when 1)the majority of the admins are unskilled garbo 2)wiping its ur surname,since wiping and reopening means that u will get money again for the same items that people bought in the previous server.

Last but not least,its 2018 and most of the servers expect a 60h grinding to make armors/weapons without bot.Are u nuts?60h means a full walkthrough into a AAA videogame.

Besides,If u didnt make any profit,u wouldnt reopening the server every 1-2 months.Also,"donations" (buying items with euro) tend to decrease from month to month,so u are making more money instead of keeping the server open for months/a year.

Its not only easy,  its the truth, I see what's happening, people can quit and literaly 1 minute later send you a PM asking when do you wipe, it can happen from so many different reasons but the main one I see atm is people who fail enchanting for example, most will just insta quit, so yes, I don't see the reason why not to blame the community - they are a major part of servers dying quickly nowadays.

 

I don't really get the point of your cashgrab servers, but I can just say that if all I wanted was money, I would've just wiped the server as it is and fuck your opinions, but I don't, I do dozens of updates each season, only this season I removed donation options for A and S-grade items when the server starts up (and we all know most of the moeny comes when server starts, so i'm willing to sacrifice) - I also spend alot of money on stuff like advertisement (about ~500 EUR so far if you care) and I also paid to people who translated my website to 3 different languages aswell to try and expand the server's community, all of this just in the past few days.

 

Again its very important for me to mention: I only wipe when the servers gets literaly empty, 0 players online, why people suddenly care after I announce a wipe? nobody should, not even donators, because if they cared, they would've just continue playing - the situation can look alot different if the community itself will stop wanting wipes.

u missed the whole point of my previous post.

u arent the center of the world and its not just u who own a server.

These are facts but i get it.Each side can push the blame into the other side but that doesnt mean everything hasnt started from "admins' side".Just think about 6 years ago and how many players played their favorite server for years.Now its just permaquitting since there is always a better server to join and another server which demands less grinding anyway.

U are talking about urself and i m talking about the whole L2 situation in the last years.

what the fuck? mate I didn't came on this topic craving for attention or anything, you can clearly see that I am provoked so why you make up things with that clown? Our servers have the same base and I know what effort you've put on it, I was always by your side. Until now that I see that you make multiple effortless re-openings without changes and spamming wipes which is something that I hate on servers. I never opened my server twice in a single year to "punish" the players into learning to stay and support the server till the end, while on the other hand you teach them that "you can leave when you're bored, we will come back next month". Also I've updated my acis to a very stable H5 server and its being over a year now that the community is begging for a relaunch which I am not giving to them yet. Thats all, cya

I understand your point and I would still not change my response, since I think its valid for many other servers aswell.

But i'll just add that I know the difference between now and ~6 years ago, I had 2 midrate servers back in 2011-2012 that I started with 0 people where nobody knows me and I managed to climb up to about ~500 without a wipe for nearly a year each, show me ONE server that can do that nowadays, there's none (not even me) and it doesn't matter how perfect the server features would be.

 

Anyway, since its my advertising topic I would still preffer it to focus on l2ovc rather than l2 world, so far the people who criticize me for quick wipes are only the "outsiders", people who don't even play my server and don't even understand the situation.

If people from inside would've criticize me, then they must have something I can improve right? then why nobody gives me such a suggestion for improvement? answer is simple, there's none.

What the fuck indeed, how is coming to my own adv topic telling me to gtfo is being on my side exactly? the fuck is wrong with you.

Give real input if you're on somebody's side, not random hate comments, telling me I don't do changes while only the last changelist has like ~50 changes is pure bullshit.

I don't care if you're willing to keep your server online empty for a year just so you could say "I don't wipe twice a year" nonsense, especially when I get dozens of wipe requests from my players so why the hell to wait?

A few stuff I did just in the past year:

* New missions system

* New battle royale event

* A Grand Crusade season (I doubt you even know what that is)

* I reduced donation options to nearly zero

* I've added 3 (soon 4) translations to my website and improved it alot in general

* I've added custom maps such as Castle VS Castle and Moba Arena

 

And basically you can find dozens more on my forum but again you're here just to advertise your shit.

A forum mod should simply disable you from having a signature and we'll be good.

We can keep this conversation going all night if we'll have to.

I remember that when I played each seasons, I had like memory leaks on your serveur after 1 hour of gaming or maybe a bit less. So I had to restart more than often for playing in a good comfort. So dunno if you guys have some tips to do somethings on the .ini maybe. For reducing this problem.

I remember that you added a system for turn off all animations, it's good but don't resolve so much the problem.

There is a folder in our patch called "addons" with some memory and caching tweaks, you can try that on the next time you play.
