No matter what you can offer to the community if you won't pay for advert, very few will join and even fewer will stay. Basicly whatever you do ppl will leave, if it's easy server dies in the first week, if you make it too hard, cryers will leave in a matter of hours. So best you can do is to optimize the server for medium difficulty and introduce new content in future updates, but this will work only if you have a certain fan base which will follow up. SweeTs is right, most  ppl won't even bother to waste their time and try something new,but you can't expect 100-200 on only from an mxc topic.

As I said, main concern and the most of the budget will be invested in advertising. This is just an inquiry topic. About the rates, that's specifically why I'm going away from the classic craft type of server. I want good progression and power curves while maintaining an interesting end game.

Hello. Recently i got hit by nostalgia and wanted to get back to Lineage 2 after a break of 2 years. I searched for Interlude, C4 or High Five server to play at (classic is way too grindy and full of bots) and to my surprise I could only find a couple of highly populated servers, all with fake online of course but even 500+ real online is okay. These servers were all Russian and exactly the same. For Interlude the standard is mid rate with craft for A-S, while for PVP is the classic 2 week setup with very easy enchant and farm where you just have to grind for 2x d. Might or W.M in augments to deal damage.

I wanna change that. I am looking to open a server using Advext L2off pack for maximum stability, where people will enjoy themselves either playing solo or cp. My general idea is a stable long term server with donations balanced in a way it doesn't affect the casual player as much, but enough to keep the server alive. That's my goal. A server that will be supported even with 100 online people as long as they have fun, no wipes, nothing. I want the server to be the stample when talking about Interlude just like L2Elite has been so many years on C4.

The general ideas I have on mind, taking full advantage of the best files around are these.

High Rate Server : x70

Adena Rate : x45

Buff Slots : 22+2

Buffer without songs, dances and specials.

Buff Duration: 1H Buffs, 19 Minute Specials. 3 Minute Cat.

Shop with everything you need. Up to S grade but without S.A that you have to farm it.

Enchant : 3-16/14/14

Chance : 66 Normal 76 Blessed

SubClass : Quest with Farmable Items.

Noblesse : Retail Like.

These are just the main ideas. I wanna hear suggestions and what you think. Thanks.

The general rule is that the features don't really matter, it's the advertisement and especially name that counts. If you want people, try to buy out some dead project with decent followers on social media (and preferably a long user mail list) and build on that. The thing is, it's very hard to impress L2 players these days. Things like "non-influental donations" and "supported even with less than 100 online" were burned out already because it's a phrase that virtually every server owner promises. If you want to catch players' attention, it needs to be something jaw-dropping.

Also if there's anything that I'd consider as for having a potential, is a server based on Classic chronicle. If you want a midrate, fine, but make it a Classic. Even a basic Java Classic will attract MUCH more people than a perfect H5/Interlude files. The thing with Classic chronicle is that combines best of both worlds - the oldschool content of C6 and functionality of H5, just both better. People who try Classic usually don't come back to the older chronicles. Sure there're still some people who play them, but their community is shrinking as more and more people try the Classic.

I see where you are coming from. However I dislike classic and its weird playing mid rate on such a grindy environment. Classic was made to be based on endless farm and pvp for monsters In the open world. However by tweaking it's rates you just get a incomplete game let's say, since the goal of the project was to slowly catch up to C6 and a lot of features are still missing.

As I said about advertisement, it's the number 1 thing on my list. About buying a dead project - no. I dislike the idea of renting somebody's name for a quick buck.

I won't comment on what features are the "best" but I'll commend your attitude, one thing that's missing from most of the servers are honest admins who want to provide quality content.

Hey thanks on that.

@MrPro* What I mean is, servers around are either closing after 2 weeks or you are forced to choose between the exact type of "craft" server. Pvp Interlude is pretty much dead and there are maybe 2 low rates worth playing. (x10 or less). As I plan on opening a server of course I'm going to ask for suggestions. Why not!? Doesn't mean I'm going to change the server's concept but good ideas may come.

Others experiences might help. You know regarding features etc. I am mainly looking for players opinions but unfortunately it seems like only Russian forums are alive.

I plan on launching the server after Easter. I am looking for any kind of assistance for tests in the upcoming month and also I need 1 fluent Brazilian speaker and 1 Russian speaker.

I am also looking to create a huge advertisement team. If anyone is interested drop me a pm.

a suggestion from me is do it slowly and be alone on gm team

As I said, the draft says the server will be launched after Easter. Slow and careful testing has to take place as well as make sure i advertise as much as I can on Topzone, Hopzone and Various Forums. The first thing that will be done fast is the website, where all information will be posted. It may go live this week.

I would certainly played something like this because it's clean and simple,it offers the game you know and you loved.

My suggestions,if you'd like to consider some opinions,

make AA and Adenas very valuable, A/S grade on shop without SA and sealed, Lifestones and Bogs and such Misc usefull stuff make 'em very very very hard to obtain.

Safe/Max +4, +8 35%

Keep Nob only retail way

Give some bosses a meaning with some helpfull drops

PS: Don't expect many players, playing community is pure trash these days

PS: No matter the online you'll get, doesn't mean it is a bad server, people who like this game and the server, will play the game they love.

You seem to totally get the point of the server I want to present. However enchant should be higher so that end game is longer. At least that is my opinion. Noblesse will certainly be retail without any help through Shops.

@MrPro* Banners still attract the eye.

I have always visited this website but never created an acc. I found this thread and I wanted to sign up to speak my mind.

I want to feel the chronicle progression again, I believe that is what kept me playing a long time ago.

Would be great to start from Interlude and then go all over to actual chronicles like Salvation. It could be made in 2-3 years maybe.

You mean switching servers slowly or the server progressing to the next client every let's say 4 months? Although the idea is cool, if you had an L2j pack I wouldn't want to imagine the bugs you would face. But I'm gonna be using L2 OFF files so that's almost impossible to be done properly. Not to mention OFF packs for later chronicles are so expensive I doubt it's worth investing.

I mean updating the server every 4 months to the next chronicle. You are right, it will be hard and expensive. It is a nice dream tho hehe

Answering your first post, yes, I would like to play on the server you suggest.

    • "CAN YOU DO A BULGARIAN REVOLUT?" – WE DID. FIRST DRAFT, NO EDITS The request came in short: a photo of a bank card, Bulgaria, Revolut. We said yes and asked the only question that matters – what data. The client was on the road, asked for a couple of hours, then sent the lot: number, expiry, CVV, payment system, bank, cardholder name. Then came the part the client never sees: - ran the number through Luhn – the check digit has to add up, otherwise the card is dead the second anything automated looks at it - matched the BIN to the issuer: Revolut in Bulgaria isn't a "local bank", the cards run through Revolut Bank UAB. The number range has to actually belong there, not just start with the right digit - built the current design, not a five-year-old picture: vertical layout, flat laser print instead of embossing, correct chip module, contactless mark where it belongs - the payment system logo – with the right gradient where the circles overlap and the wordmark sitting exactly where it should. A small thing that kills half the fakes out there - and finally, physics. Plastic has to catch light: a highlight along the edge, a micro-shadow under the chip, a faint fingerprint. A phone shot, not a render Sent the draft for approval. The client looked it over, signed off with zero corrections – final files went out. One pass, no rework. A card is a deceptively simple document. Looks like a rectangle and sixteen digits. In reality it's maths in the number, a tie to the issuer, a current design and light on plastic. Miss any one of the four and the file gets exactly two seconds of attention. Need a card for a specific bank and country? Message us.
