My auction house is pretty bad, ok

I never argue with anyone, specially if they are randomly attacking

 

This works or it doesn't works, is as simple as that. So discussion over

I don't understand why you talk about packets problems, like if we didn't face that issue in the making of this

Don't get ur panties in a bunch, what i saw was the auction house, which was pretty bad. And thats not advanced html "based system" (dont know how one could even name smth a html engine lol) but don't get my intent as a act of a spoiled brat whom came here to brag.

 

You were mostly focused on my taunt than what i said about the functionality of your engine. So how about you enlighten us on which method u use, tricked out the act packets or the proxy list? Since there's no way in hell you can proxy an user's connection from just the server <-> l2client comm.

Are you saying, that he is selling system that doesn't work? First topic says that it's 100% server side.

No, i was saying that its impossible to just use the player's ip from the server side connection to the site, its cretinous, unless he manages raw packets, meaning bogus packet info from ATK packets(or SYN). If he dose that, that means that the server broadcasting those packets will get blacklisted immediately, and internet providers or hosting company have policies against this(if a filter wont detect you right a way, in some weeks time it will), you'll get your contract terminated and ur server shut down.

 

Also hopzone uses nginx(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nginx) not some stupid apache to boot.

And again, if a internet provider or a hosting company dose not filter out ur malicious packets immediately, in some weeks time you'll find yourself with a fat lip.

 

A second option would be to use a very large proxy list, and submit connections with a simple proxy config. And i think he might be capable of that.

But also it might be that synergy doesn't know whats he's doing and dose not fully understand how a connection works, and hes probably sending garbage data, thinking he's doing the correct thing. (happens to all of us once in our lifetime XD)

 

PS: Scorn is my alt acc. I was posting from my phone before and it was simpler to make a new acc.

While i haven't tested - if he releases a demo we'll all figure it out\reverse his method unless it's BS.

 

It's on my list ot test if you can iframe or post from the client - and if that's possible then it opens up the possbility of doing it without client hooks.

The only thing we need is a "POST" request from the client towards the webserver. Also iframes are basically hard coded javascript, UDK only has a UI parser for basic html layouting.

I would not myself go ahead and sell something that i did not test live with enough people to approve it doesn't have any problems.

 

Solving issues while live servers with this system may cause problems to customers.

 

Possible to happend like Elfocrash vote system, where there were server closed because of delays and disruptions caused by it.

 

I advice you to hold-on selling it alot and focus on testing it.

The system works, and really well. Too well I must say, and it seems that it became a problem for the vote sites.

Vote count per day is related with online counter, something like minimum per day the online count and maximum online x2. Meaning that a small server with 400 online can get 400 votes per day aproximately. And that put your server on first page in no time

 

I will wait further feedback from the live servers that this is being tested, but looks that this solution is not likable to vote sites, at least big sites like hopzone

The problem is that they doesn't actually visiting the sites they are voting in, so it will be probably problem for them and they will probably ban every server using your system.
