Lot of IDEAS! CUZ WE LOVE THIS GAME

Okey, I've been playing this game for 8 years, I really love it.

Problem is that nowadays there aren't any GOOD, FUNNY server to play, why is that? cuz l2 developers are out of ideas, just copy-paste another servers, making this game SOOO boring, thats the main reason why servers die too soon.

I would really love to make one server, but since I havent got any money and any developements knowledge I can't.

I will give u some ideas that players like me would really love:

Client: Gracia Final/Hellbound H5, Interlude, C4

Personally I find H5 reaaally boring, aswell Interlude. So lets say that Gracia Final/Hellbound are really funny/enjoyable to play.

Rates: x50/x100 x5/x25

Low rates/x25 servers are soo boring cuz of the time u spend farming/etc, x50/x100 servers are great! since its the perfect balance between PvE/PvP.

Enchants: +3/++  +5/+20 +5/+16

Don't add an enchant GAP! People love to farm/enchant and try to get their weapon ++ to be unique!

Farm Places: Retail with custom drops  Custom places with custom drops

People also love PvE/PvPing in retail places! Don't add those custom places with custom MOBS, cuz they really sucks!

Subclass/Noblesse: Some items in shop + Cabrio + Barakiel Full Quest Free

Well doing the full sub/noblesse quest can be really annoying, but doing, for example, Cabrio/Barakiel, could be really nice since u can PvP a lot and u get lot of fun! Just don't make Hellfire Oil farmeable for example, so boring.

Mini Raids: Mini Rbs with custom drop

Fair Donations: Nickname Colours + Hats Equipment

Active GMs

Domain: .com/.net .ucoz .lt .randoms (PPL WONT JOIN TO UR SERVER IF THEY SEE SNOW FALLING IN YOUR WEBSITE!)

A serious project requires serious developement, so try to dont fail at grammar, and get a good designer for your website!

Balance: RETAIL CUSTOM

NPCS: RETAIL! CUSTOM (RATS, BRUCE LEES, GIANT DEMONS)

Buffers: ALL Buffs without 3rd class  ALL BUFFS NO BUFFER

So you will see lot of active Doomcryers/Dances/Singers around :) (3rd classes buffs should last 10/20 min)

 

I wrote this cuz I love this game and i hate seeing it dying. Maybe u can take some ideas from here and make a great server!

About balance i can't agree PvP server means buffs & etc...

Also lets be honest, noone in this forum is good at L2OFF developement, there are few guys maybe who have idias about it but noone spend time on it.

So all is L2J and L2J "retail balance" is crap for me....

Anyway... i agree every server copy/paste from eachother but thats becouse thats what most players are searching for:

• Farm: Max 2 Days
  
• Everything else with PvP
  
• Olympiad win
  
• Siege win
  
• Bye
  

 

Thats the story of Lineage 2 PvP servers nowdays, this can't be changed with  1 post no metter what idias you give.

If Administrators are looking for fast money... ofc they will open/close servers... it doesn't seems logic to you but... if you have crappy mashine that can't handle more then 500 ppl and you are out of money youll run crap server just to collect for serious one...

Thats how world runs.

No that's not the reason why servers die soon. We're not talking about servers hosted by kids, I won't even mention them, so we're watching good server die soon because they are not recyclable. I'm feed up to explain further, but if you got my point, this is the main reason

Why Lineage 2 Private server kill the game?

• Newbie developers running crap servers for a week.
  
• Player who doesn't understand the game/can't play it DDoS every single server running out.
  
• Crappy hosted servers aka homemade.
  

 

This are main reasons for me, not the chronicle or custom stuff in server.

Every server has his population... and every person like something different... that why you can choise low, mid or hight rate server.

Almost the 90% of current servers are copy pasted(all have got same features almost except these servers where their owners known about developing have got future.... others are just crapy servers!(unbalance and corruptions are most negative issues for a server...)

In other words, when someone of the options above opens a server, his project has an ending date. Usually not more than 4 months.

If the server owners stop seeing lineage2 community as a business for money and try recruit on their staff people who are capable to understand & create decent economy system which requires a guy who's been around lineage2 a lot, then we might seen more decent servers. A decent server doesn't requires only good developer and machine, at least if you're aiming for a longlive server.

 

So staff has to be :

• Machine owner - Sponsor : a guy who can spend some money and provide good machine with proper protection.
  
• Developer : The one who will code anything server needs and fix any bug come up.
  
• Server manager : The most imprortant guy who will provide a decent gameplay,right economy system for soloplayers & clans and all these with the help of developer. He has to communicate also with the players IG / forum so he can make a good relationship for further living.

 

Then players they won't have any reason to stop playing on your server.

It requires a great effort yea but you have to try.

Wrong, the L2j community start cry about X class once they die from it even if it is working as retail no matter what.

Lineage 2 will be good again when people will stop complaining about everything and stop threatening the server administration and staff. I have been running servers for the last 4 years but its the last 2 years the people have started crying for the smallest things imaginable. Every other day i get a pm by someone saying that if i dont fix something trivial he will leave the server and stuff.

 

Back in the day there were servers with corruption, endless bugs that cause great imbalance, unfair donations (hero status remember?) and still people played had fun and never cried. Those were the good days. Now every kid because it takes 5 minutes to set up  a server they think they are the pro developers and know everything.

 

At times i want to shout to them: "If you think you can do better go and make your own damn server".
