[Question] How to choose Java Project

Say hello.

Many people asked me about all the projects L2J [L2JAVA] which is better, which is better for Mid Rate [10x, 30x, 50x, 70x, or of PVP etc.], not many bugs, which is "protected". I guess you'll also met with questions from friends or other parties.

I have not had much to tell you that I got to check all projects that are quite many.

And I would answer if I can have some extra tips and what each project etc.

On topic: if you are looking for a low rate server with many off features and less custom configs i recommend acis if you need to open a high rate custom server try my pack (l2jhellas) or l2jfrozen that's all!

You're wrong, L2JFree got for example decent work, and some RU packs are the only choice if you speak about GoD chronicle.

 

No matter what, it is perfectly stupid to choose a pack according a category, a pack is supposed to give all the possibilities, and then the user decides which way he wants to give. Else let's create pack for x10, pack for x30, faction vs faction pack, faction vs faction vs faction pack, event pack, and "whatever you want else" pack.

 

Hell, you can even create your own categories ! Custom but not really custom pack, custom custom pack, custom retail pack, retail pack,...

 

The only decent criterias are :

- current content (what has been done)

- community and following of the project by the team (optional if you got good dev knowledge)

- future content (what will be done - optional if you got good dev knowledge)

- ratio about existing bugs / work made (pointless to use a pack if you got more bugs than original pack)

 

NOTHING ELSE MATTERS.

PVP server i recommend l2jhellas

or l2jfrozen for more retail like and low rate

 

the acis have lot of things not working yet... and who knows when they will work.

If L2JHellas is based on pure L2J IL, don't worry you currently got far more things which don't work.

 

Want a list ? Here's a list, because you act like you know anything about the pack you defend :

- you miss symbols/signets

- you haven't retail system for walls in sieges (no pack got it atm, only mine, guess why)

- you can siege summon on castle zone

- around 10 skills aren't working at all (mostly IL ones).

- no frintezza, no sailren, no Benom

- failed IL templates (you haven't retail antharas)

- failed spawnlist (half monsters spawned behind ground, orc territory spawns completely missing)

- you miss few quests (notably sailren storyline), around 20 quests are exploitable and another 10 others miss correct states.

- and hundreds of other issues I fixed, and you not (picked arrows goes on your offhand, monsters use soulshots, ...).

 

My pack is incomplete because I work on it and making changes which go beyond your imagination, your pack is incomplete because no one has worked on it.

 

Anyway muaddict you're free to use anything you want, just don't throw shit from your mouth at least. That's the minimum required when you don't know a subject.

 

And you still put the fight between IL chronicles, the first post never stated anything about it. You're a "fan" in the initial term. Fanatic = ridiculous.

Currently hellas is on halt till my next commit and wont be ready anytime soon.

 

 

You have your answer: hellas - unstable, acis development target is retail-ness and Tryskell made it even specific and lastly frozen which for 2 years (almost) been a bucket of spit for experimental devs.

You still are out of the subject. The guy never stated anything about chronicles, but general. Third time I repeat it.

 

So to repeat myself, as haters see only "aCis" glued on my name and spam (aka post things which got strictly no point to do with initial post) when I post somewhere : in order to find the best pack, you have to check the community, to check the past of the project and finally the future (if any). More there are bugs corrected, less it gives to you to correct.

 

Make your choices according your preferences. And yes it is long, but it is worthy while you will develop your server.
