That "DDoS Protection By Sawk" shit he puts on all of his websites is 100% bullshit, he first started saying that when depmax first added "DDoS Protection" (which isn't real ddos protection it simply prevents socket flooding crashing the server, which everyone seems to think is ddos) and then he moved his servers to a datacenter with DDoS Protection. Sawk is an idiot, and you can't "make" ddos protection you can only host your server in a datacenter that filters ddos without null-routing your server.

why do you think the c4 decompiler is... just gonna work? Theeeeeeres new functions new parameters + basically every single old parameter has changed offset new handlers new fetch types etc etc etc etc yo be on crack if you think anything short of a new decompiler will work... You COULD modify the old decompilers but most of them are built to use the comments in the code created by the various custom, and native, NASC... which are also HUGELY different than c4...

zero to none is an oxymoron you mean slim to none As for the problems with i7s and 2008 basically no one has done any research into it past a few changes done in COEP which don't really fix it on either... though the i7s is probably something to do with the updates with parallel processing added in the i series processors, and i've said before that 2008 is most likely because of the changes made to the handling of shared memory access practices, both of which no one on this forum are ever going to fix or even bother looking at... so yeah, xeons/opterons/phenoms and 2003, if your datacenter doesn't offer 2003, change datacenters. and tbh you shouldn't be at a datacenter that offers i7s as serious servers anyway considering they are more for general desktop and gaming usage as Xeons kick the ass of i7s for the high-load data environments you get from a server (obviously that doesn't include the i7 980x considering it has 6 cores).

That's because what you want to do is not an easy task, the handful of developers that can actually make what you are looking for either work for servers already or would charge a price you would not be willing to pay. a GvE-type system cannot be created properly with mere script and AI changes, you would need extender mods that go beyond most people's understanding on this forum.

You wont find a greek "dev" that can do that... lol. I would be surprised if you can find one at all...

you would need an extender mod to do that, the native system doesn't support multiple olympiad periods.

Go into 'Import Directory'. Find the dll you want to remove. Right click on it and click delete. Follow the last step of this guide to rebuild the import table. Save.

yeah but you just asked one of the 3 extender devs on this forum if he could... And yes, mcbigmac and myself can both make everything he has done, it's nothing special... I started l2off developing when I was 14 and I could do that even back then... Just because you can't do it doesn't mean you should assume other people can't, everything that you think is so amazing is just simple script changes and a few AI scripts - which for anyone who has ever done any kind of c-style scripting, is incredibly easy.

Well yeah to get the L2Server to run on 2008 you need to recode a lot of the sharedmemory system because in server 2008 microsoft changed the way named shared memory instances are referenced and you can no longer use pointers to the memory map file, which was standard in 2003, now you have to use offsets from the base of the mapped file and so a huge overhaul of the shared factories is needed for it to work... something no one is gonna do.

He's using windows 2008 as mac said, which if that guy had done any searching at all he would of found 100+ topics where it says the l2server doesn't work on 2008...

lol we really don't care... both me and mac could do exactly what you have but with the L2Off L2Comm which is an incredibly more complex job than recoding something with fully understood and open sourced protocols, the difference is neither of us run servers and no one has paid us to do it so there is no reason for us to do it. And you missed the entire point of what both of us said, the fact I mentioned you being an L2DC member had nothing to do with whether or not you have the comm stuff working on your little l2j project and everything to do with the fact that you have the l2j mentality - where you want everything done for you with as little work to do as possible - hence your comments on the incompleteness of COEP - and it is the L2j mentality that migrated to l2off after the leak of the c4 l2off files that causes projects like COEP to be lacking in the C - Community, because most of the real developers left after the c4 leak. The perfect example of the l2j mentality in l2off is people trying to buy "packs" - in l2j packs that you get vary hugely due to custom modifications and main framework differences - however with l2off there is no difference between 1 interlude pack and the next, yet people still try and buy packs thinking that they are any different than the ones they can download for free on this forum and many others. Not to mention the attitude people have towards l2off that everything should be working for them and they shouldn't have to do any work themselves to run a perfect server.

Wrong. l2off died because of "free stable releases". No one has to do any work for themselves any more which is why there's only something like 5 actual developers left, the rest are idiotic little children who change numbers around in script files and tell everyone how awesome they are.
