Then like I've explained - you have 600% of chance that sth from that category will drop. You have to set chance for all items to sth around 6666 (0.66%). That will give around 20% of chance that some item will drop randomly (drop chance is affected by all item chances in category. So 30 items having 20% chance = 600%. 30 x 0.66% ~ 20%) -

Java - assuming its gonna be first you will learn, language like C++ might overwhelm you with stuff like pointers etc. and in Java that subject is made most easy way possible: fully automatic - writing multi-threaded apps is much better supported and having accesible much easier certain cool mechanism. and even when one of threads for some reason crashed, the rest of app can go on to the point until its impossible (deadlocks), so its an perfect environment for making eg. gameservers. and if you will write code thread-safe (avoiding all or most possible deadlicking possibilities), even if an thread crashes, it will do very little effect on the whole app ;) - it's more flexible and tons of free libs make possible to add any functionality to your app, very easy (eg. recently experimenting with OpenCL use in gameserver) - there is milions of lines of code only considering Lineage II server emulation, for free, that you can read, learn, or reuse. Even bot apps and stuff. - L2J community is probably biggest one concidering Lineage II servers emulation And L2J isn't that unstable and with some work can be no worse if not better than L2Off server soft. Also at least download core sources and browse through them to see the scale of an "game server" project and think if you want to do that all from zero in other than Java language. And there is also datapack... -

You mean that always drops any of those 30 items randomly, or each time mob drops all 30 items? Did you put each item into individual category eg one item in category 600, one in 700 etc.? If not then you have 30 items each having 20% chance of dropping, so 30/(1 in 4 tries possible) = 600% chance of drop (and there is only one possible/category so you always get 100% drop of 1 random item). -

- experience: playing since C1, first dev works started when there was interlude out there i have my own Epilogue pack. Except for 100% complete retail features (ofc. including additions, eg. Krateis Cube, Underground Coliseum, seeds etc...), also coded and implemented extended community server with player panel, physics, some other non-retail additions... Putting physics to work, with an "sample" frag explosives: More examples of physics use, huge AI extensions, geoengine rework, complex fraction system (mob groups not only assigned into one "clan" or leader-minions coalition, but possible creating commanders having knights, that have soldiers, that have "helpers', mobs wandering the world and scavenging found items, that then land on their individual droplist, smart town guards that easyly handle most "pro pvp-ers" and with skill, not just maxing out all stats, and much more...) - - price?! preferably lets talk about it in private. I'm not cheap but If you saw those short clips, you should be considered that I can do a thing or two (not only copy retail quest scripts etc.) -
True. I often write, even parts of one project, in more than 1 language. However I think that the brighter future is in front of Java. Its most flexible, many things can be easy coded (and in different languages you would have to work much harder to archieve same result, additionally with higher chance of making mistake).

Hi. If you're looking for an feature, quest, event, fixes or rework of any part of L2J based server - Im at your service. I do not copy/paste code found on forums. All is work of experienced dev. Examples of my work: - calendarium server expansion: - full control over how fast time will flow on your server, with option to sync with real time. - after setting up "starting world date", your server will count days, month, years, with option to mark special events that happened, and browse them ingame through calendar viewer, to keep world history. - you will gain ability to control aspects of your world, by the current date, eg: you can set certain mobs to have different stats in first 4 months of the year etc. Or control player stats by race, level, pvp count... - and so on... - unified zone manager: rework of ZoneManager and InstanceManager plus addition of special Universe class (FULL h5 oly arenas support included, if your server is based on l2jproject h5 beta, but thats only very small part of the whole thing...) - extensive rework of packet management and broadcasting. Not only to eliminate any kind of visual bugs, probably troubling all l2j forks, but also to reduce network traffic and increase game perfomance - physics support: - ability to control how items will effect other things, on for example collision. - predefined template includes: - frag explosive alike item, that when thrown, will blow everything around. - sample knives, that when thrown eg. at mob, could wound or even kill - accuracy and collision recording: you can for example make your own, new kind of even, where thse who will hit eg. moving mob, more precise, will get more score - and so on... - templated htm builder with framework for making nice htmls eg. width droplists, user panel etc... supporting also custom images server side, that will be displayed by all clients, and with no client modding what so ever (up to 256x256 pixels) Also anticheat, antifeed, bot protection, multibox protection, forums, auctions, network interface for gameservers or loginservers to get live view of any aspect of running server, and use them eg. on your server's web page, donation npc's with not only very customisable item sale, but also such features like live currency exchange calculation for item prices (loaded from internet business sites on server boot) - so your players see how much thing cost in eg USD, EUR or PLN.
