Which file do I have change to switch the loading banners when opening L2? E.g. I want Interlude loading banners on Classic. Can it be done by simply overwriting some file in the Classic system folder or is it somehow more complicated?

Hmm sounds very interesting, but it's hard to say how many people can an Interlude attract these days... A lot of people are either playing H5 or are jumping on the new Classic chronicle :)

^Title. Let's say a reaper comes to you and tells you that you have to bound your life to a life of a private server. Considering you aren't suicidal to pick Mid or Averia, which server would you pick to live as long as possible? I doesn't really have to be old but it needs to be an honest server, not the kind of crap that gets reopened twice a year... Is there any right now? Can be Russian, too.

It's hard to say really... One would need to know much more about the project :)

Well if someone was to guarantee that the server is going to run and be actively taken care of even if the online drops lets say below 100 then I'm sure it could attract some people, but it's hard to believe these days... Lots of servers say 'we will be online for many years to come' but then the online drops, the donations are non-existent and suddenly it's difficult for admins to both: a) find money to keep the server alive and b) be motivated enough to keep working on it, making new ads to attract new people etc. Also it's Interlude so if you were to open a midrate, you probably couldn't be completely 'retail', because there needs to be some extra endgame content to keep the players interested in a long run... Let's say it's 20x rates, in 2 months people get top equip and ++'s, what else can you do there without custom content? That being said, I like the idea of having as little customization as possible, but as I said I strongly believe that Interlude midrates can't run in a longterm without some kind of customization :)

I have to say +1 for restoring the old version to be honest... Just give us old forum back and bring this new one when it's 100% finished... I'm missing so many features here... Also all my private messages disappeared is that normal?

Depends. I think a lot of players have problem joining a non-"brand name" servers, because they often close within a month if they don't have enough online... Interlude midrate is also a bit tricky because there's already estabilished community of midrate IL servers, for example Mid or Neo... Sure they're basically purely donation-based but people who play there already know they're going to play 3 months top and then just wait for the new server.

The experiences I've shared in my previous post are from the Innova... I have to disagree with you on that one, because playing on the 4game was by far the heaviest P2W I've ever experienced on any server. Because while on private servers you can spend ~50$ and you're good, on Innova it's normal that people spend 500$ and more and they're still nowhere close to top, but the worst thing that unlike on regular older chronicle private servers where you can just make a spoiler and buy everything you want if you farm hard, on the Grand Crusade it's physically impossible to get a good equip without spending money. They literally nerfed drops and adena in popular farming spots so people would be forced to spend money in the L2 shop. I know it's not Innova's fault because they're just taking the updates as they are but the claim that L2 europe is not pay2win is plain false.

The Classic servers aren't P2W because they're subscription-based. But from my experience on Grand Crusade on Innova, it was the most hardcore P2W I've ever experienced for the 10+ years I've been playing Lineage 2. It's really taking the whole thing to a next level - it's not as much pay to win as it's pay to play, because unless you buy ton of jewel boxes from the cash shop or buy adena directly from botters, you make basically zero progress. It's obviously P2W all the way through highest levels as on this chronicle there's so much room for improvement you can spend 2,000$ and still not be 100%. It's P2W in it's clearest form - buy jewel boxes from ingame shop for 100$, sell them to players (everyone's buying 24/7) and buy top equip from auction. But anyway the point is, as you mentioned, official servers give you two chronicles - Classic and Grand Crusade. One is subscription-based extreme hardcore chronicle where you farm all day to make few % and the other one is barely Lineage 2 with insane P2W. High Five is standing nicely between these two (still a solid Lineage 2 vibe in it while tons of stuff to do), but offic simply doesn't give us option to play it. Also I don't think you can generalize private servers like this - sure when there's some homemade L2j serbidor opened by 10 year old it's probably not going to be 100% experience but if you know where to look at, there're a few high quality servers - RPG Club I consider one (even just for regular server merges), Classic Club is up for 2 year too, Dawn (unfortunately RIP now but was a good run too), Warpgate (the guy really seem to care but not sure how far he's with the developement) or PlayInera (these guys really seem to work hard)... Plenty I didn't mention but my point is that even after trying Grand Crusade on Innova I still feel like some private servers are much better. But that's just my 2 cents.

+1, trader was even ok with delivering goods before payment, but wasn't needed in the end. 2010 account with lots of bussiness experience, 100% trusted.
