The point is that in joomla, more things you add to the portal, more time takes to load, of course visual part is great but it sucks in loading. PHP-Fusion has the good point that you can add any PHP inside, so its easy to make a portal-forum with a lot of functions, like chat, events, pools, stats, you can put any PHP code inside a side panel. Joomla is more for personal use, without important features, cause his extensions have a lack development, for example, its realy hard to find a good forum for it.
