Well, i dont think they will catch you but, is there a possibility that FBI will contact Interpol ? l2x was closed for massive dontations thats true, some people say that shmee escaped and gived some cash to the feds, i think that is bullshit, they didnt caught him, they turned off the server and thats all. Its not a virus, its just an edited file, code or whatever, it will always detect you as a virus, if this is a virus so the l2.exe file official from ncsoft is a Win32/Packed.Themida potentially unwanted .... lol P.S Thanks for share CriticalError

u mean that you cant run a l2off server on Windows XP ? It isnt true, that each 1 Gb is like 500 players ? You think, cause u got more posts and higher rank than me, that makes you smarter ? Ok l2off are ilegal on the part that his sourcecode was stolen and sold on the blackmarket and an latter put free on internet, but thats not all cause the files latter than c4 are extender, i mean ppl programed them, c4 is full ncsoft work but latter is work of many programers. L2j is legal cause its an emulator witen in pure java, and is under the GNU flag, i mean its a free distribution, that u can edit and do everything u want, the ilegal part comes when you edit the system or other files cause you are violating the EULA of NcSoft lineage 2, that says that u wont edit any files, but they cant do nothing if you edit the windows hosts file. l2off is a bit better cause java only se 2 Gb of ram and l2off cause it is in c++ it see all ram that u will put in, and each Gb of ram is 500 players, so 4 gb of ram are 2000 players. i think with this i explained clearly

Yes u can, i tried with a 2 ghz amd athlon xp and it works good, but your problem is the Ram, cause for parcial load l2off requires 4 Gb of ram and for full load 8 Gb, it takes a lot of RAM but each Gb of ram is like 500 players support so 4 gb is llike 2000 players support, your processor is not bad but your ram yes, so u cannot start it with that RAM, And 2nd answer, yes u can do it with Windows Xp professional my is working on 1 like that, windows server is not a special os for l2off, is an OS made for SERVERS, im using on Win XP the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Enterprise, so its not a problem. U can see if your os is x64 or x86 (32 bits) if u press right click on the My Pc icon in the start menu and go to properties or control panel --> system. and u will find your properties, also u can use Everest, is a program that shows all your pc info. have a nice day
