Acis has never been well structured tho, as xdem said if performance is your only goal it should be in C. In java especially with multiple people contributing to the same thing you have to have the following done as a base to start from: Documentation: Have a javadoc for every freekin thing you do about what it does and how. General code scheme: Have a set of rules regarding code format that everyone uses all the time. A proper todo list: Way too many people start multiple things at once and than end up conflicting 1 thing with another. Background: There are several tools to optimize what you do. Java profiler is a must, watch garbage collector activity, memory allocation, loaded/unloaded class count in JVM,proper logging and understanding of those logs and so on. Other than these what you need is only a handful of people that follow through and apply the exact same principles.

Than you didnt get what i was getting to. Lineage sure have its limits and is within certain boundrais however since we talk about a pvp server it means limits are off limits. Just think about how many gve servers people made or how many storyline based servers people made where the storyline was completely off. Its not a comparision but adaptation of a certain general rule that has an effect on the gameplay. In theory i would imagine something like this. Territory based map where dark themed places restricted to a certain amount of people and paradise themed places restricted to a certain amount of people. Add to the item and skill changes such as rekless offense on one side and balanced tactical approach on the other side with more of a team oriented setup. You can also have 2 different learning curve where one side would go for more of a domination oriented path and the other would go more for a peaceful path, that can bring in several quest additions for improved leveling based on quest not of grinding(like all the recent MMOs). I could go on from that for hours so i just stop, you get the rough idea of what i was referring to.

With that name what comes to mind is a crapload of potential. You can sure use that name as a reference just to get people jump in from the star wars hype train BUT think about future possibilities and evolving. Exactly that. You dont need at all the most fancy russian pick with this and that protection, that doesnt instantly make a good server. You need a stable base(l2j or any fork of it except the truly bad ones) and good management in game. Nobody says its a bad pack since its russian far from it if it follows the standard base. The thing is tho like i said russian packs need so much skill to maintain, update, expand that it would be pointless to buy it since you would have enough skill to do it yourself.

Never worth to buy a pack from russia, they use a much different coding style which requires you to be so skilled that it would be pointless for you to pay for a pack. You are better off using a standard l2j pack and go from there even tho it may take longer to get it right the end result will be much better for your own needs.

In all honesty it would be a waste of time since it has been done countless times before. I would much rather focus on contributing to l2jserver these sort of things because they are all for user friendlyness and the plug and play mentality.
