Understandable post, but from the other side of things when you have people who even if you write a million guides about how to install the pack or whatever subject it is about, they still screw up. For example i closed my project simply because i had to deal with around 10-15 people annoying me every single day because they couldnt read what i wrote. So from a developer view its harder than you might think. :)

Nice to see ya here :D Be as newbie and mxc friendly as possible, switch to maven completely and use git. That way you get rid of every single person on this forum who would leech it. :D

Your point would be valid only in ideal world where everything works like you think it would be perfect. In reality most developers are far from beeing developers(beeing called like that means nothing) and this is where the story ends. You know the fact that maxcheaters have only at best 4 people who should be called developers registered, means that this is just a junkyard for noobs. Every argument anyone would have in regard of any project whatsoever is irrelevant, it matters only for the project owners ego. All in all new ideas mostly mean copy pasting atleast around here, if you look at every single share or project that appears on mxc(#1 spot for acis there), its just copy paste after copy paste after copy paste and a bunch of pretending to be the most awsome developer ever(#1 spot for tryskell there). Care less and your life will be better, trust me on this one.

Just as much as acis since its the base of it and we havent changed many things yet, so your argument is invalid. I will start testing tomorrow so i will be able to tell you more than. So far i will work on performance related things and im really thinking about switching to maven but pauler wants to stay newbie friendly so i dont know how thats going to work out.

sry i have to say this, if you cannot use eclipse...LEARN to use it it takes around 10minutes.

Imagine how i felt when i wrote in the guide checkout the trunk and convert each project to a maven project and the outcome on user side was: checkout trunk itself and convert the trunk folder to maven project. I alredy brought up the idea of maven to Pauler but its a hard decision(no secret i would like to separate the pack into dp,core,ls,commons,commons-network,scripts,parent).

I find it pointless to talk with someone who cant accept constructive criticism and gets all butthurt about it so ye better stop.

And now imagine yourself in our spot where we would do a change to maven(i know i know dont go there :D ) but we cant because people would not be able to understand even the most detailed guides.

jdk have to do nothing with mysql you dont have enviroment variables setted.

This means you have a 64bit system and installed a 32bit mysql version. Either reinstall a 64bit version and dont change the sql path in the installer or just change the sql path.
