WTB WTB Custom interface for aCis server with this features
Finn replied to Javier_InsiTo's topic in Marketplace [L2Packs & Files]
It's not the right protocol revision for interlude. Like the one project mobius shares -> His system has protocol version 109. I think it is still the Grand Crusade client since it is rev 110. But I actually have never seen that interlude classic logo down there... is this custom or off? -
Source (Build+Source) L2J_Mobius Premium 20-4-2023 (UPDATED)
Finn replied to eKoIce's topic in Server Shares & Files [L2J]
I think since you are still active, providing support, people will still reach out to you to ask and pay for services or advice. You are doing a good job and everyone respects your work. Maybe you will get more customers than before? -

Help Starting a server for the first time
Finn replied to FossilGamer's question in Request Server Development Help [L2J]
Mobius Project Mobius is a friendly and active person / developer. His project is user friendly and it provides you with everything you need to start a new server. You even can use his free sources for a server project. You will need help at some point, but till then you have everything you need. His pack has a ton of custom features - a huge plus! -
Both are mostly the same. Get their free revision and set up your server like you please. If your project starts becoming popular u can switch to the paid versions since they are more up to date, but this is not mandatory. By that time you will already know how to implement new features and you will start to develop your server on your own. Buy their actual sources, if you want to support the devs! To start, I would recommend Mobius' Project. Nice features and customs - and you will be good, if you already worked with older l2j files, since the project kept the general folder and file structures. (I'm not sure since I was absent for a longer time, but i think the only thing that got ripped is the python script support in Mobius' version, if I correctly remember?)

Discussion How much would it cost to set up a Server?
Finn replied to sebal2j's topic in General Discussion [English]
1. If you are a web developer, why do you need someone to set up a server for you? 2. It costs you nothing since it is not any kind of witch craft to set up a game server. Just spend an afternoon reading ^^ 3. Why L2Off? Customization for you will be painfull af. Take L2J. The best DIY option. 4. Save money considering the points above! -

You should launch your server with just the standard version. A few people are enough to gather first experience in that field. -
Help Starting a server for the first time
Finn replied to FossilGamer's question in Request Server Development Help [L2J]
First of all forget about protection, interfaces and all other custom stuff. Learn how to operate a server by setting up your favourite standard format: low / mid / high / fun. Everything else would be a waste of time and money. If you find yourself comfortable with your server, start adding custom stuff. Think about the goal you want to achieve with your project and do it step by step. Don't waste money for stuff you don't need. -
did u set the class for it? same file just scroll down. also activate custom quests in your setting file. dont know how sunrise handles it. might be different.
-
You need to add the script path in your script loading list. (forgot the name since I did not touch l2 for more that 2 years xd) Its usually in the same folder where your quest folders are. Edit: "questmasterhandler.java"

I'm at 16 mbps right now. ftp server seems to start at low speeds, then after some time rises to higher transfer rates Hoping to find a client around salvation rev 145 xD but it looks not promising.... although I found a nice IO rev 39 and 43 client there. This one was of interest since there is no NA or EU counterpart (i guess) Ö_Ö let me know if you find this one! meanwhile i found some modded Epilogue, H5 clients there ... nothing of interest. First i thought it might be the KR 7th Anniversary Client, but... meeeeehh
-
so far i found a kr 140 client (but strangely it also has a 135 system in it), a homunculus part 2 kr290 and a fafurion kr166 client on that FTP server still downloading other clients to check (rip download speed 400~3000kbyte/s EDIT: + infinite odyssey kr_21 client + infinite odyssey kr_43 client

Thanks for the nice share! Sadly there are so many dupes on that ftp it would take forever to download them to check, haha

Those new L2 clients take so much space. I have to get a new hard drive in order to get my collection larger. Here are all the clients I have, but in 7z... and they are together more than 500GB Ö_Ö Sadly not all of them are 100% off, but they are as clean as I could get them. About Akumus collection: I think some clients of his clients (i did not test every client) at least do have GG killed. -
this you simply have to release a new patch with your updater and restart your server to force people closing their game client. Next time they try to get into the game, your patch will be applied eg. with your new map file.

Help Problem with displaying quest name while talking with NPC
Finn replied to Glimpse's question in Request Server Development Help [L2J]
server side you have to find the file where quest names are displayed after klicking quest. this method displays quest name ids which are located client side. it only displays a FIXED range of ids. its fixed serverside...there you have to include your new set of quest ids in order to display them correctly. else you'll end up with this blank bracket ^^ you have also to edit systemmessages which display "questname(Started)", "questname(in progress)", "questname(finished)" they are also hardcoded clientside
