Pretty self explanatory if you can speak English. Typically for charitable purposes or the benefit of a cause. The cause is the server. Just like many donations in the word that reward you for donating, lineage2 donations reward you with in game items. I recently backed a project in kickstarter.com which is basically donating to the company of the project and the company rewards me. It makes sense.

I'm not going to finish it. I'm just working on it for fun. And even if i finish it i'd rather sell it than open it myself.

Yeah but it will never need you to scroll because it expands (Tutorial window). You can probably visually remove it but the functionality will still be there. I highly doubt you can do it yourself, and i also highly doubt that anyone will help you.
