You must first download the client and then a compatible Non-steam patch, both are included in hax0r's post.

 

Warning: The pings will be higher than normal steam servers, so if you want to boost your performance then play on steam.

 

But never forget, we are cheatz0rs so non-steam is probably our base :D

btw i think that is better u buy the game(its just 25€) and u have HalfLife2+DayOfDefeat+Cs:Source

or Buy CS anthology for 15€ (with 1.6 +CZ)

 

I prefeer the the official .... Less bugs and less hacks or cheats...

how much ping do u normally have on steam?

 

i am from argentina so NO ONE haves steam everyone play on the non-steam version and we normally have 30-60 ping

you can also use hamachi to emulate a LAN through the internet, to play with your friends
