try this if u don't know (i'm sure i've heard it before)

 

start->run->msconfig->startup tab and take off all prog that'll slow ur startup speed, also defargment will boost ur performance while using windows and ccleaner'll boost ur int surfing speed and finally some registry cleaner for errors and some unneeded paths will make a big diffrance.

i dont believe for instant start... umm... new future computers will support InstantOn technology... You can shutdown your PC to sleep mode, and it will fast turn on

EDIT:with sleep it shutdowns and opens immediately :D

think that his wont work cuz jus booting motherboard and other peripherals takes 10 seconds as well, then you got to load hard drive data......
