hay what you think is good pc for home server and what you think how much ppls can play on server w/o lagg

Please dont make homehosted/maded server(s) :S There are too many of them.

how much ppl? mmmmmm hard to say depends the settings you will do and your netline.

what can we say? The best servers are those who are in a Hosted server and not made "at home"

It will not work, only for 4 months if you wanna have your computer always turned on.

1. Vista sux for server, go Linux (if you have to use windows - take win 2008 server)

2. PC specs are ok (this will be for server only, right? not for hosting gameserver and play on same machine)

3. You need good internet connection, with high upload and static IP address (usually DSL have low upload and dynamic IP).

The17ThHeroes is a homemade server :-X on the old server there were 100 players all the time and there was big lag. the server was maximum for 100 players and the GM turned off his PC every night in 10 :-X but now look at it...
