For example:

1) Some users spam with useless stuff to get posts

2) Some users spam with 1k posts in a row

3) People just chat about various things (like here).

 

At a more general meaning it is just..

Well.. Let's say "flooding" people/pages with useless messages or with messages being sent many many times.

 

But spam has other meanings as well, generally in our lives, not only @ the internet.
