If the original model is used as base + have an additional effect, then in this case the weapon style itself is added as a static object to the effect and because of this your weapon disappears.  How to fix it: change all effects by deleting static meshes and turning them into skeletal meshes with changing paths in weapongrp, or just make skeletal meshes and change info in the .dat ( but this is not recommended because the meshes will overlap each other ).
