darta Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Hello, For some days now i try to add some new abnormal effects, but i do not understand how do they work, how does the client know the abnormal effects sent by server to client? I looked inside hi5 client, there is no abnormaldefaulteffect.dat like in god clients (ertheia and above), and even in them, abnormal numbers start from 67, but bleed for exemple si abnormal number 1 and works fine, so where are the abnormal effect numbers stored in client in reality? Rootware Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 All abnormal effects is hardcoded inside client and have own binary mask. You can't add the new effect w/o edition engine.dll. Quote
darta Posted September 18, 2019 Author Posted September 18, 2019 (edited) is there any way i can see the list that is hardcoded or make client be able to read from lineageffect2.u instead of only lineageeffect.u as default path? can anyone edit engine.dll? Edited September 18, 2019 by darta Quote

Lol good luck buddy If you are using goddess i had no problem editing abnormaleffectdata to add a new one. You also need server side support for it. Quote

darta Posted September 19, 2019 Author Posted September 19, 2019 163 a,u_ave_snow_hold\0 0 a, 1 0.00000000 0.00000000 -20.00000000 0.00000000 0.00000000 1.00000000 exemple of abnormaldefaulteffect.dat writing lineageeffect2.effect_name will not work for some reason, but dat is saved fine. writing Lineageeffect.effect_name will work tho Quote
