1) Run Configurations

  • Right click on your project
    • then click "Run" -> "Run Configurations..."
    • there check your settings for you project (e. g. in my case it was the Apache Tomcat)
    • here look into you tab "Classpath" under "User Entries"

2) Project classpath

  • Right click on your project -> "Properties" -> "Java Build Path"
    • now check the "Source" Tab as well as your "Libraries" Tab
    • Problems should be marked red in the "Libraries" tab

Read the error.. Bcs such directory doesn't exist. Change to another eclipse, as it's eclipse issue, or create folder program%20Files/.. and put the jar.

Right click on build.xml > Run as... External Tools Configuration > Classpath tab > Additional Tasks and Support > Add external JARs > point to your jdkpath\lib\tools.jar.

Use latest Eclipse and latest JDK, delete all previous.

I'm not using eclipse but I managed to do it... ;D

This is how my eclipse looks after I've added tools.jar: Window -> Preferences -> Installed JREs

You can manually add the missing tools.jar by clicking "Edit" on the selected JDK, and then "Add External JARs..."... Hope it helps. ;D

If you use the latest eclipse, close it and re-open it with another workspace name.. Then try again..

Not success? Download previous version.

I had the same problem. The first time I fixed that by adding tools.jar

The second time, I used another eclipse.
