Hi mxc... I want to open a Lineage 2 Interlude l2jaCis project mid rate server... I want to know how much money i need for a dedicated server host + ddos protections... for about 1500 online players... how much money i need for this??? and some suggestions with links for server host including that i want... Ty

You can do it even with 100-150 euro. Let's say dedi from any OVH reseller (which included basic ddos prot, good enough), 50 euro from someone (check the dedicated section for powersupport or how it was called) or you can buy from HostChefs for 65+ with support and such and microprotection from HyperFilter for some $$

So if i open a server to ovh for max 1500 ppl online which category i have to choose to ovh specific link and info... bcuz i see there too many categorys and choises... and if i add this micro protection from HyperFilter with ovh my server will be protected and not lagg with max 1500 ppl online??? Ty

Domain 10 euro, site template and coding 50-100 euro.

 

50-150 euro per month - advertise,

100 euro per month - dedicated server with DDoS protect,
5 euro per month - site,
50-100 euro per month - developer.

Don't trust you will get 1500 online, there are no 'real servers' getting even close to this, you can expect 300-600 players and this is the max.

 

You will not have any lag or delay, actually if you want an advice, companies like HyperFilter does pay for 'premium bandwidth' with Tier 1 network carriers, that means your players will have the best connectivity as possible, if you compare it with the connection of the 'budget datacenters', they are paying for massive bandwidth, but to the cheapest Tier 2/3 carriers, and they always will have a low priority for sensible traffic, meaning a lower connection quality at the end.

I will give you another advice, if you don't have any experience, please don't try to make something big, it will fail.

 

Your way is 2 steps behind, by trying to first make a small server in your home, testing it, learning it.

 

After it, try to make a small server using some VPS or something like that... 

 

Then probably after this you will have the answers to your questions, there are no shortcuts on this.

      You should check if that condition is supported by your current sources. You can find this in  DocumentBase#parsePlayerCondition If it isnt there and you want to follow the same pattern of the other item conditions, create a custom condition to parse the classId (or multiple class ids) (there are examples to copy the code). Alternatively, you can create your own condition handler. Your condition should look like this: <cond msgId="1518"> <player classId="ADVENTURER,PALADIN" /> </cond> or <cond msgId="1518"> <player classId="93,5" /> </cond>
