It is now better than ever.

 

Crafted by the hands of the same dude that brought you Paradise ages ago, and Dreams along Luna at a later time.

Dynamic Experience Rates

Gone are the days of rushing through low levels and having a hard time progressing on the later ones. The multiplier applied to the earned experience is now dynamic and depends on your level.
For the first few levels the multiplier is non-existent, it grows as you level up and will reach up to 25x.

Improved Economy System
In the past on Luna, nothing other than the end-game gears and the materials required for those was precious.

Everything starting from No-Grade to S84 was available for purchase directly from the stores, for a cheap price.

No more.

Weapon and Armors stores do no longer sell uncommon D/C/B/A/S gears. They've been replaced by the common versions.

Common gears can be acquired for Wind, Water and Fire Mantras - which, remain exclusively obtainable from our low, medium, and high levels hunting grounds.

Uncommon versions of these gears will now be obtainable exclusively through crafting, opening plenty of room for diversity in your adventure.

Improved Hunting Grounds
On Luna, certain hunting grounds have been made more rewarding than others.

The low, medium, and high level hunting grounds (found at any Gatekeeper) will not only reward you with Stems, Varnishes, Silver Nuggets and co, but also with Wind, Water, and Fire Mantras.
Collect these mantras to purchase Common Weapons, Common Armors, Common Jewelry, Special Abilities, Tattoos, Dyes, regular Enchant Scrolls and more from the stores in towns and villages.

 

The following Hunting Grounds are recommended to low level characters, between 1 and 40:

- School of Dark Arts (Lv. 1 to 10)
- Elven Ruins (Lv. 10+)
- Windmill Hill (Lv. 15+)
- Abandoned Camp (Lv. 20+)
- Execution Grounds (Lv. 25+)
- Breka's Stronghold (Lv. 30+)
- Death Pass (Lv. 30+)
- Bee Hive (Lv. 35+)
- Sea of Spores (Lv. 40+)
- Hunters Valley (Lv. 40+)
- Timak Outpost (Lv. 40+)

For the medium-level characters, between 40 and 70, the following Hunting Grounds are recommended:
- Enchanted Valley (Lv. 45+)
- The Cemetary (Lv. 50+)
- Fields of Massacre (Lv. 55+)
- Forsaken Plains (Lv. 55+)
- Forbidden Gateway (Lv. 60+)
- Valley of Saints (Lv. 60+)
- Forest of the Dead (Lv. 65+)
- Blazing Swamp (Lv. 65+)
- Archaic Laboratory (Lv. 70+)
- Pavel Ruins (Lv. 70+)

And finally, for the high level characters, the following Hunting Grounds are recommended:
- Hot Spring (Lv. 75+)
- Varka Silenos (Lv. 75+)
- Ketra Orc Outpost (Lv. 75+)
- The Monastery (Lv. 80+)
- Lizardmen Plains (Lv. 85+)
- Sel Mahum Grounds (Lv. 85+)
- Beast Farm (Lv. 85+)
- Dragon Valley (Lv. 85+)

 

Good to know

The raid bosses spawning within the Improved Hunting Grounds are globally announced.

They drop key materials (all of them, including the lowbie ones) required to acquire S80 and S84 Gears.
If you've become too high level for a raid boss but would like to take it down,

or if you're simply looking for the damn Recipe - Homunkulus Sword but the Vanor Silenos Shaman is way too low level to drop anything...

There's no issue! Gatekeepers can help you jump back to a level you've already been - temporarily!

Improved Karma System

Did you just kill a dwarfie? Without her even attempting to fight back?

You will pay for it. Sooner or later. 

When dying or teleporting to the nearest location while in a Chaotic state, no matter the character's actual position - he will be sent back to Floran Village.

From this point, using teleportation through teleport scrolls or other means becomes impossible till interacting with Clarissa, the Gatekeeper in Dion.
We wish you a happy run, full of surprises!
Good to know
Warehouses are available in Floran Village should you have certain items you do not want to risk to drop.

However, each item deposit costs a certain percentage of your total adena.

 

Temporary Deleveling

Did a raid boss much lower level than you just re-spawn?

Or maybe an ugly orc shaman is annoying you, but he's too low level for you to kick his behind?

No issue!
Gatekeepers can help you jump back to a level you've already been - temporarily!

Whenever you're done doing whatever you wanted to do on that level, you can jump back to your original level.

 

Newbie Protection

Because there's absolutely nothing fun in a high level character going on rampage against newbies.

A protection is here to ensure nobody feels like going on a newbie rampage.

Should you kill a character that is 9 levels (or more) below yours, you'll be sent to Floran Village right away.
Good to know
You'll be warned if a character is 9 levels (or more) below yours when targeting him.
Instead of attempting to kill newbies with your high level and your high grade gears,

you can always kill newbies on their level - using the help of Gatekeepers to get on a temporary level!

 
Improved Subclasses System

On Luna, there's no limit as to how many subclasses a character can have. And subclasses maximum level matches the maximum level of the main class - 85.

 
Notable changes from Luna as we know it...

- For the first time in our entire existence, we're bringing you these fancy features you'd expect from a low rate along the fancy features you'd expect in a high rate - on a single world - in perfect harmony!
- Blessed Enchant Scrolls were taken out of the Luxury Shop and will now be obtainable through various other means.
- Blessed Scrolls of Escape (including the Clan Hall and Castle ones) were taken out of stores and will now be obtainable through other means.
- Ancient equipment has been taken out of the game.
- Elegia, Moirai, and Vorpal (you know, these lame copies of Dynasty and Vesper...) have been taken out of the game.
- The loots that were previously taken out of the game (materials, recipes, rare drops such as crafted items... etc) are now back in. 
 

 

This list is in no way exhaustive. We'll continue adding information as what has been done comes back up on our heads and as we continue making changes.

 

Which version is it going to be?
The client you'll need to connect to Luna will be the last revision we were given prior Dwarven Village was destroyed - known as High Five.
However, do not expect Luna to be anything looking like your casual High Five server.

That's not the case. Luna is different. Many settings were altered, many changes were not followed or made differently.

Using the High Five client gives us the freedom to pick which of the updates officially released we really want in.

Which is why we use that revision. But Luna is not an High Five server.

Luna is how we believe Lineage II should be.

Excuse my ignorance and stupidity but is this a new server under then name l2 Dreams or is Luna wiping/reopening?

I wasn't playing here before and i don't know what's going on.

Luna is being re-opened with a new and fresh concept. :P
