1. No server can run on a vps (especially l2), a private server needs a lot of CPU, RAM and internet connection.

2. A DDos attack means the end of it. Trust me, you can't just block the IP of the attacker + you will have problem on vps.

Do you honestly believe there is a way to protect from Ddos the way you mentioned.

To be honest you can't find 100% Ddos protection anywhere.

If you want you down,you're gonna fall.

Δεν ειναι μονο αυτα που λες και επεξεργαστη i7 Quad Core διαθετει το τελευταιο VPS. Και οσο για l2 ξερω 2 server που hostarontai απο εκει και σηκωσαν 250 ατομα χωρις LAG (ΓΙΑ ΤΟΝ ΕΝΑ Ο ΑΛΛΟς 450)

VPS = PART OF A DEDICATED ..

SO i think you cant host l2 server .. Reason ? Will lag ... How i Know it ? I hosted on vps with exactly the same statistics l2 server ..

But you can easily host Counter Strike Server (Recommended)

Just For The information... there are a lot of ways for virtualization sovahost use XEN virtualization with a little search in google you will see that xen virtualization isolate main server resources on the virtual machine so ONLY the virtual machine can use those resources .

this mean that if your plan contains 2 cpu cores 8 gb of ram and 100 gb of hardisk (thats an example) you will only use those 2 cores and the 8 gb of ram. so yes a lineage 2 server and a counter strike server can easy run on a virtual server

Well to be honest about the above discussion. Technically everything can be hosted on a VPS machine. Optimization and security are just the key features for this to work. As far as I remember a single procedure (or more whatever) are used to make Lineage 2 server emulator work properly. Adjusting the correct packages and CPU usage, with a good connection & bandwidth everything can work awesome. It's just that most of the VPS machines are in one big dedicated machine with other VPS instances inside it. If you can properly isolate your own instance, then again, technically everything is possible.
