I once laned aginst ziggs as talon and i have to say the zoning was immense...did you had good ganks or was he just bad?Im also starting to play talon as well btw...I think his burst is absurd and he might be able to carry some games depending on match up...

 

treat it like kassadin, farm safely for items until you get 6+ and at least a pickaxe before you try to trade and all in him
