I wanted to change the textures between Moirai and Eligia sets.

 

I tried to edit the item ID with L2 File Edit.. I replaced the ID of moirai with eligia, but nothing happened.

 

Since everyone in my server has Eligia, and I think eligia is horrible, and moirai is great, I'd like to replace both of them.

 

I read some topics that had lots of programs to edit the texture. If possible, I'd like only to replace one texture with the other.

I understood what each line means, but changing the ID should be enought.

 

For exemple:

 

This is the line for the Chest of the Moirai Heavy Armor.

 

I changed the ID of this item to the Eligia chest of the Eligia Heavy. But the textures, animations, nothing changed on the server.

Anyway - changing ID will help if You will do that inside Your client (itemname-e, weapongrp) and inside Your server files (xml and - if You still have, in older chronicles - table inside DB). But this is thy only half of work - You still need to updates players client to make them see the changes.

Actually, my admin friend said that ncsoft doesn't allow changes in the game. So I wanted to do a change only on the client side, so I can send the file changed by msn, and not on the main site.

 

Since it's moirai and eligia armor, I presume that I'd have to change armorgrp, right?

 

The name (itemname-e) could stay the same (Eg: I'd see moirai armor on my char, but when I placed the mouse on the item, it'd show "Eligia Boots"). The only thing I'm trying to change is the looks of the chars, so that it'd look like moirai, but it was eligia. It's good to keep the name to make trades and sell itens.

My elegia looks like DC light armor.. simple as a peice of cake

 

If you change just ID's from the armors you will change everything (so Elegia will also have the icon of Moirai inside your inventory), if you want it to look like elegia in your inventory but as Moirai when wearring then you should also change the line with "Icon.Armor ..".

 

Or a 2nd way is just swapping the lines with "Tex" in it, that works either.

 

When your ready you will see your gear looking diffrent, but other ppl on the server will still see you in Elegia, If they want to see the same as you, then you must share your Armorgrp.dat with them (or weapongrp.dat in case for weaps) and then they see it either.

Dont rlly need to do smthng on the server side.

 

If you want to add new self-made (or downloaded textures) then you must write your direction yourself thats like [Name of the file with textures] . [texturename] if Im right, alrdy been some time ago that i did smthng like this.

 

But its possible for sure

 

EDIT: I checked your ID's you putted there... 7520 = ice cream and 15697 = sealed moirai...

I want to change it only on MY COMPUTER (client side). I don't want to change server side so I don't get problems with ncsoft.

I went to the armorgrp file, opened it with l2 file edit, changed the ID's (Eg: 15609 for 15575 and 15575 for 15609).

 

Weird. I changed it, and now when I try to open lineage 2, it gives this error: l2.exe has stopped working.

On l2 file edit, I'm using CT 2.5 Freya, 413. Should I try a different config?

well you have some work here, I divide ID of Moirai SET, only need do is search all from Elegia and just change it in armorgrp.dat

I already changed it.

 

After I saved and ecripted it, I started lineage 2. But as soon as the image shows, the game closes and a Windows message appears: l2.exe stopped working.

 

And when I replace the armorgrp modified by me with the original one, game starts working again.

 

Does this happens because I encripted it wrong?
