Hosting a server under your bed is never a good idea. Probably the owners mom cleaned his room and threw it out. I suggest the owner should go and look for it in the trash.

You don't have to donate, that is completely your choice. As I've mentioned over and over again... a player can get every item in the donation shop by either killing 76+ raid bosses to get raid tokens or spend some time in the farming zones to get rare drops. And again, if we were only focusing on donations then our donation shop would have items like Boss Jewels, custom items that you cannot get unless donating and so on. Anyway, I'm not going to waste any more time on you as you will clearly not be a player on L2 Ark. Which means you're just another spammer to me and I will continue to ignore your false accusations, I hope others do it too.

Ok, let me get this right. You are saying that we have priced a useless item for an expensive price, to get more money? Because yes, that would totally make sense if we were focusing on getting donations. It's almost as saying "Hey, I got a gum business, I want to sell as many gums as possible, so I want $100 per gum"

I'm not quite sure I understand the question. 1 Rare LS has 100% success rate of granting: Chance, Active OR Passive skill on your weapon. Not only Chance. To the rest of you who have commented, have you even checked us out or basically assumed things? This is the main reason why I wont update this topic on Maxcheaters anymore once the "Sticky" period is over, you guys are not looking for new servers, you're looking for topics to spam in. How about, and this is just me throwing it on the table. Grow up and start doing something useful. It can drop in both "deeper" levels of the farming zones, LOA and MOS among with the other rare drops. Shouldn't be too difficult to get in drop but not too easy either.

Thank you. We've taken that into consideration and placed a bit more advertising on L2Network.EU and upgraded ourselves to premium on L2Network.EU, Topservers200 and L2jBrasil We will however continue to not use Vote Systems on our server as we believe that is just annoying for our players.

Help Win 2008 Vs Win 2012

I'd recommend you going with 2008 R2. 2012 R2 will probably work, I've never bothered testing it as IL is old, 2012 R2 is fairly new. 2008 R2 has proven to be very stable running L2OFF extenders, it has pretty much all features you need in a windows server and in my opinion the GUI is still quite modern. 2008 R2 is not an outdated microsoft product and tbh I still prefer using it in most my windows server builds. Now if you asked me to use 2008 or 2012 R2 for lets say a domain controller, I'd recommend 2012 R2 as we're talking about microsoft server roles. -

We're only 2 days away from our open beta phase. We figured we'd let you know how the day will look like: Due to timezone difference between myself and my team mates, we will launch the open beta during the evening of Friday, most likely around 20:00 GMT, again this is to be confirmed. We will then open our registration page where you will be able to register for a game account which also grants you access to your user profile page on our website. Donations will of course not be available during open beta, which means our donation system will be locked so no one can enter. The client patch files will be released at the same time we open the server, we will only supply these files via zipped folders as our updater/launcher is still being worked on. We have not yet released farming/pvp zones. This will however be released during open beta phase for you all to test. What we would like you to focus on during open beta is to find potential bugs, economy issues and obviously to have fun. Open beta phase will last until the 25th of October, at which point we will continue in a closed server environment to resolve any potential bugs raised during open beta phase. Not to brag, but I'm actually certified in AWS infrastructure. And using an AWS EC2 instance to run a Lineage 2 project would be the absolutely biggest mistake in history. Even with the smaller EC2 instance sizes you'd still burn up all your money before your grand opening day. So please, don't ever use AWS EC2 instances for this purpose. I do recommend using a aws bucket for cloud backup, it's fairly cheap. Fun fact, dropbox is basically just an interface for an AWS bucket, basically a multi million dollar company and all it does is creates storage buckets in AWS :) -

I've also posted earlier that server owners now a days seem to announce their estimated player counts which are insane. Another server which I won't mention the name of, has estimated 3900+ players... there's probably not even that many playing Lineage Interlude anymore. So basically they begin their project with lies, makes absolutely no sense to me. Also, thank you for the kind words, I hope you'll join us for open beta on Friday.

I've just read about all these new servers launching, and they estimate 3900+ players here and 1000+ players there. Maybe they count NPCs as players, if so then we have 7000+ estimated already in closed beta. L2 Ark will not publish any "estimates" until we have proven facts. Why start of your new server with a lie? That should really tell the players a lot about what they are joining. My point is, be wise when you choose your server, don't fall for false estimates.

Dear friends. After a weekend of non stop developing, we're now ready to give you a date for our Open Beta phase. Open Beta will start on Friday 16th of October and end on Sunday 25th of October. Specific times when the server will open/close is not yet decided, but the dates are set. Please note that open beta will be run on our test server. Accounts, characters, items etc will all be wiped out on the 25th of October when Open Beta phase has ended. This phase purpose is mainly for testing reasons. We want to test the resources of our servers and most importantly the game play. We will release the open beta patch files to the public on the 16th of October. If that "development" team comment was directed at me, then I can only tell you that we're spread out in 2 different games at the moment. Lineage 2 and Minecraft. All IRL friends, decisions aren't hard to make over a pint of beer ;)

First of all, there aren't any bad donations, only bad rewards. It's true as you say, a lot of owners focus mainly on donations. I totally agree with you there. Things like allowing players to donate for items that are impossible to get without donating, and creating new customized weapons and armors that every players wants else they'll get nuked with what they can only accomplish without donating pisses me off. A server should be fair play. Sure it will always be easier to get items by donating, but that shouldn't mean that it should be impossible for non donating players to achieve the same result. As soon as I see a server that has Boss Jewels in donations (unless it's a insanely high rated server) then I immediately assume the owner is only in for the money. My intention here was not to "promote" my server outside the private server section of Maxcheaters. But I do feel the need to mention what I've written before in my server topic, that my team is not focusing on the money. We are focused on hosting game servers that we are passionate of ourselves AND that we know the players will love. Which is why we're starting http://ark-gaming.net. A gaming network that is run by our team which is quite a large team of IRL friends who are professional developers, infrastructure and network specialists.. and of course hardcore gaming nerds. Will we have donations? Yes, we will. But as I stated in the beginning of this "wall of text" post, there aren't any bad donations, only bad rewards!

Hi Tommy. I think you've misunderstood what I meant. Of course we have donations, otherwise a server can't stay alive (unless the owner has too much cash anyway). What I mean is that if we were ONLY doing this for money, then our donation shop would look a lot different. Having things that players think is unfair but donators love, like Raid Boss jewels etc. In our case, we decided to play it fair with donations and only have items that you can get in game with raid tokens or rare drops in our farming zones. Raid Boss jewels are not possible to donate for as we think that will ruin PvP moments outside these major raids between clans which I remember from my old days of playing L2, was the best ones. And it is true, we want to make people happy. I personally find joy in hosting/creating things that I can then see grow and get popular. Others like playing games, it makes them happy. If you choose to believe this or not, that's your choice.
