there was a recent study that actually said that those who download alot of music actually buys alot too, so it wouldnt hurt the music industry.

that was what the study said but who knows

Well .. this is a bit more complicated than first meets the eye...

 

in the end ... to sum a WHOLE lot of explanation down to the simple from an active musician ..

 

Is to support the small bands, and Indie labels on Record sales ...

 

or else all the music will die at some point ... As to the remark from someone about the artist dosnt really care...

 

that is a bold statement since musicians have to eat to you know  ;)

Piracy doesn't kill the music. Piracy kills the large companies. Piracy saves your pocket:P

And anyway, what's the problem of piracy??Since I buy the CD, I can do whatever I want with it :D

lawl i dont give 20$ for 1 LP :*...if i want LP i just do Jack Sparrow xD :P so i dont think what pirate kill the music

I dont think so, cuz new bands (EMO/HardCore etc) sucks big!

 

Old bands that get good money in past don't exist anymore (Sex Pistols, Beatles, Queen etc) and they have ALOT of money that piracy won't take their money.. btw they don't need more money =D
