After a lot of time and effort, we’ve finished the work on our new client!

You can start downloading it now so that everything is ready for the Beta in just some days!

Our client is very light and has some nice hacks by default for a better gaming experience, allowing you to enjoy Mass PvP more.

For example, we’ve replaced some skills that were very heavy on the single-threaded nature of the client’s architecture affecting FPS massively, making them lightweight (95% same visual quality), but without these skills dropping those critical FPS in Mass PvP anymore!

We are proud of not using or having any DRM on our client. We’ve even removed the original DRM (it was the original and useless antibot, GameGuard), so now it runs smoothly even on Linux (something that was not possible with GameGuard enabled)! There’s many occasions where DRM on games lowers FPS drastically, and we don’t want any of that!

We’ve also added Large Address Aware support for the client. The client can now use more than 4GB RAM, so it will no longer be crashing because it’s out of memory in Mass PvP!

You can also edit the l2.ini with notepad, there’s no need to decrypt or encrypt it. Here you can change stuff like making the client border-less or increasing the default RAM usage

Related to Mass PvP: One of the best settings you can have in any server is to limit the visual radius of skills being casted around your character. We’ve made this setting a long time ago and it makes Mass PvP so much more enjoyable!

These kind of improvements only happen because we are dedicated at giving you the best gaming experience possible, and we hope you’ll value it as much as we do

• Download and open our updater, l2aqua.exe!
• Our updater is here to make your life easy. Just open it up, and it will simply download and install everything you need. It doesn’t get much easier than that!

If you already have the Game Installed (H5P5):

• Download the patch and extract and overwrite all files in the main game folder.

Remember to create an account if you don’t have any!

First of all - Congratulations, everyone!

It’s been just one day since our server went live, and we hope you’re already having a blast in our new Lineage 2 PvP Server!

We’ve been hard at work fixing a few bugged events that, surprisingly, didn’t appear during the beta testing phase. Your feedback is really important, so please keep it coming! We’ve reintroduced the city and town maps for Events, and removed the other maps, solving the issue

Clan Leaders, here’s some good news! We initially hesitated to level up clans, but a player’s petition led us to rediscover an old plugin for clan promotion which was still active, and we didn’t even know about. We’ve decided that it’s good enough for us, so now it’s official, and we’re excited to offer this feature

While we’re delighted to see many of you enjoying the server, we’ve also encountered a few extremely negative people towards us and the server. Most of the negative people want us to be like the others, like another average server, to change back all our unique features and just be standard and with more online players.

We wanted to thank you for your passion in defending our server, these kind of people simply don’t believe in us, but you do, and you know what’s up. This feels really great, having your work defended, having believers. We believe we are gaining more believers every single day with our constant work and effort. Thank you for standing by our side, it really means a lot to us!

We’ve noticed that there might be some confusion regarding our AI Players, and we want to clarify some things. Our AI Players are a unique addition to our server because no one else has them. We’ve created them ourselves over a long period of time and we are not giving them away.

Their exceptional performance can sometimes lead to misconceptions. Today, we’ll clarify everything you need to know about them.

What are AI Players?

AI Players are Player characters programmed to simulate Real Players with remarkable precision. They have the exact same stats, mechanics, and capabilities as our human players. They’re not “cheating” or using any unavailable mechanics; they’re just exceptionally skilled at using the tools available to them.

AI Player Skills

The damage dealt by our AI Players is equivalent to what you, as a human player, can achieve with the same items and skills. There are no hidden bonuses or advantages in their favor. Their skill is a testament to the amazing design and balance of our server.

Challenging the Best

AI Players are here to provide a consistent and exciting PvP experience, ensuring that you always have worthy opponents in the PvP Zone. Their high-level gameplay is designed to keep pressure on you and improve your skills. Facing them pushes you to become a better player, just like when you do normal PvP with other Players. Keep in mind that the more Real Players are in the PvP Zone, the less AI Players there will be, as there’s no need for them, and we simply want you to have an active PvP zone at all times

Transparency and Fair Play

We value transparency and fair play above all else. There are no shortcuts or “unfair advantages” given to our AI Players. They’re here to keep the PvP Zone active and challenging, just like any skilled human player would.

On top of that, since Hubris is really good at Olympiad, expect it to be challenging. We will be actively working on implementing the AI Players into Olympiad, taking in consideration skills and decision making. In some time you will be able to test your skills against some formidable virtual opponents!

We have a ton more interesting stuff coming up, but we don’t want to spoil you, not yet!

Many of you have noticed the absence of “party zones” on our server. This decision is on purpose, and it’s rooted in our commitment to creating an environment that prioritizes player interaction, balanced PvP, and overall server quality.

In the past, we did experiment with party zones where monsters were challenging and offered substantial rewards. However, the outcome wasn’t what we expected. Here’s why we made this choice:

Focusing on PvP

Party zones had an effect to draw players away from the main PvP zone, creating an empty PvP zone that didn’t align with our vision

Item Progression

We believe that player interaction and PvP battles should be the primary means of farming for more powerful items. The introduction of party zones led to a significant difference in player stats based on items farmed with PvE. This balance lowered the overall quality of PvP on our server

Class Viability

Party zones often saw players using classes that are good in PvE but are worse for PvP. This discrepancy in class choices (and items, buffs, the whole setup) further lowered the quality of PvP

Our goal is to create an environment where player interaction and meaningful PvP are the focus of the gaming experience. We want you to have fun engaging with players and see your stats improve through interacting with other players - farming items via PvP.

By eliminating party zones, we ensure that PvP remains the central focus, and every encounter is an opportunity to improve your skills and progress in stats. We believe this approach leads to a more dynamic and enjoyable gaming experience for all.

Our community is small and mostly active around 19:00~ GMT+2
AI doesn't join the Olympiad yet, but it should be able to in the near future!
